This place is So Rad! I Love it!! Such a great atmosphere, and the staff are all so friendly too. The food is unfortunately not gluten free, but I discovered that they do have in-house made spiced nuts that I could have. They are So good! And they give you enough, you can share with a friend. All of their drinks and syrups are made in-house, fresh, organic, and are prepared daily. I love the name of their Granny -Gear Guzzler and next time I am there I am definitely going to try it. This time I had their in-house freshly squeezed organic lemonade and it was so cold, tasty and refreshing. Their prices are reasonable as well. I spoke to the owner who is so dedicated to making this place a memorable establishment, you will want to return to it again and again. He is a living wage employer and I really love that he is so committed to making sure his employees have the best possible environment to work in. He told me that they currently hold weekly open mic nights and they are always adding more events, bike related or not. Make sure to check the bike cafe site often so you don't miss any of the fun. As well as going over and above with ensuring your bike is fully tuned up and ready to go, they also sell vintage bikes too. He said that every bike he sells is restored to its maximum functionality so if you're looking for a bike that looks cool and is also functional and reliable, then this is the place for you. They are within walking distance of the Parliament buildings so if you are looking for a bite or beverage after spending time there, this would be a great place to...

A hidden gem for coffee lovers and pet parents alike! I visited Bike Café with my pup Audrey and was so pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and pet-friendly the space was. Audrey was greeted with so much love—pats, treats, and smiles all around. It’s rare to find cafés that truly embrace our furry companions, and this one absolutely does.

Beyond the dog-friendly charm, I was impressed to learn that Bike Café sources their coffee beans directly from farmers and offers teas from Genuine Tea—a lovely family-run company. You can really taste the care and quality in every sip.

It’s also worth mentioning how kind and genuine the staff are. Knowing they’re paid well adds to the sense that this café is doing things right—from ethical sourcing to ethical staffing.

Can’t wait to come back with Audrey for another cozy visit....

There are so many reasons to love the Ottawa Bike Cafe! The vibes are immaculate: beautiful murals and art on the walls, as well as cool neon signs Living wage employer Serves absolutely delicious Artery Community Roasters coffee (a social enterprise that employs people with disabilities)... The espresso drinks are unmatched Amazing selection of sweet and savory pastries from Bread & Sons (!!!) as well as housemade sandwiches and sandwiches from a local biz called Lunchbox Super friendly staff and owner Also a great spot for an after-work drink on the Sparks Street patio The unbeatable combo of coffee and bikes (and booze)!

All that, plus Ottawa's best bike shop (Retro Rides) make the Bike Cafe one of my very favourite spots in the city....

Really interesting theme for a coffee shop! Found the location online and decided to check it out while visiting Ottawa. The bike shop in the back is really cool, and the decor gives it a totally unique experience. Matcha latte, regular latte, and the coffee were all great. Matcha had a nice earthy texture, and wasn’t too sweet. Had oat milk in the regular latte, so it’s good they have other options. The regular coffee was well roasted, but I forgot to ask which bean was used. Few small tables for sitting, and they DO have wifi provided if you want to come and do some work. Also a large selection of pre bottled beverages and sandwiches available at reasonable prices.
