Best Pho in the city!! Also best Pad Thai (Pho Xao) in the city!! Yes it’s in a little nondescript strip mall. Yes it’s décore is nothing special. But the food is delicious and service excellent. Kim will take care of you and give you excellent suggestions. The key to great Pho is the broth and they have IMHO the best broth - flavourful, complex and not too salty. I have been to a lot of Pho restaurants (500+) as it is my comfort food and it was my go to meal during the pandemic. Pho Moonlight makes the very best Pho. Also consider their grilled pork chop with rice, lemongrass chicken, shrimp/pork salad rolls and spring rolls. The Vietnamese version of Pad Thai = Pho Xao - they have the most flavourful and satisfying dish - add the broccoli and ask for extra spice - well worth your time. Also important for those with peanut allergies, they have peanut-free options and even their peanut sauce for Goi Cuon (fresh shrimp and pork rice paper rolls) is peanut-free. Best Vietnamese restaurant in Kanata!

July 2024 Update: Food is amazing. The staff are very nice and helped me with some recommendations. When I got home, one of my dishes was missing the quiche. 😭 I recommend checking the dishes before taking them home. All of our takeout meals were delicious, well packed and moderately priced. They are the only restaurant in Kanata to offer the 3 Layer Drink (mung bean, jelly and coconut milk) - my husband loves this drink so I wanted to look for a restaurant that had this. I also ordered the Avocado Smoothie, Vermicelli with Pork, Spring Roll and Grilled Shrimp on Sugarcane, and 2 Rice Dishes with Pork, Egg Quiche and Veggies.

Loved that the pork was grilled and soft so we can easily chew on it (my toddler was able to eat it with no issues). It was a lot of food so well worth the price.

I had to call to order as I see that they weren't in the Uber Eats or Skip The Dishes. The lady employee was very nice and friendly.

I'll definitely order from Pho...

Double and triple check if you have dietary restrictions.

We went in to get vegan food and asked if that was available. There were two staff waiting tables one of them confirmed that Vegan options were available. We ordered the same and our order was taken by the other waiting staff. We clearly mentioned by writing all our orders were vegan.

Unfortunately we were severed food that wasn’t vegan.

The original staff that confirmed availability of vegan food and chef came in apologized for the mishap. They cited the person who took the order was new and did not understand.

We’ll return again and update the rating accordingly.
