Pinelopi's Greek Kitchen — Restaurant in Ottawa

If you don't want to eat at a restaurant that also allows dogs, then you probably don't want to go to this place. Personally I don't want to eat in a small restaurant that is already crowded with people that is also full of dogs. The dogs aren't always clean, if you know what I mean.

The owners also don't want to hear your opinion on them allowing dogs. They will make a big scene in front of other customers so that you are embarrassed. Too bad about this place, it did have pretty good food. I just can do without the rest.

Reply to owner: I am not sure what you meant by you technically you weren't opened yet, because your door states that you open at 11:30 and we had been seated, given menu's, served water and it was about 11:40.

In regards to dogs in your restaurant; you were going to allow the dog and the 2 gentlemen in for lunch. We had already been seated and were uncomfortable eating lunch with a dog in the restaurant. I told the customers with the dog that it was against the heath department rules for dogs in restaurants and they left without argument. I have been coming to your restaurant for years and never had this happen before.

It wasn't just that you were mad that I made a comment, but when you went behind the bar area you started to complain loudly so the entire restaurant could hear how unhappy you were about loosing a couple of customers with their dog. It was very embarrassing to us and that was your intention. Anyway you don't have to worry, I will not be back to your restaurant. There are a lot of great Greek restaurants in Ottawa. I also will no longer recommend your restaurant.

A Culinary Gem: Pinelopi's Exceeds All Expectations!

From the moment we stepped inside Pinelopi's, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was simply awesome. A warm and inviting ambiance enveloped us.

It struck the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, making it an ideal setting for a special occasion or a casual night out in Ottawa.

But the true star of the show was undoubtedly the amazing food. Each dish that hit our table was a testament to culinary excellence. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were vibrant. We sampled a few appetizers that were delightful, but the highlight of the evening, and something I wholeheartedly recommend, is the veal manicotti.

Oh. My. Goodness. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the veal filling was rich and flavorful, and the sauce was simply divine. It was a comforting and satisfying dish that left me wanting more with every bite. It's clear that the chefs at Pinelopi's take immense pride in their craft, and it truly shines through in every plate.

Beyond the exceptional food and inviting atmosphere, our experience was further elevated by our wonderful host, Joey. From the moment we were seated until we bid farewell, Joey was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about Pinelopi's and its offerings. He offered insightful recommendations, ensured our drinks were always topped up, and made us feel like valued guests. Joey's warm personality and excellent service truly enhanced our dining experience at Pinelopi's.

Overall, my experience at Pinelopi's in Ottawa was nothing short of fantastic. The amazing meals, the awesome atmosphere, and the exceptional service provided by Joey, our wonderful host, all contributed to a memorable evening. “Hands down, bar none!”, Pineloppi’s restaurant has the best Greek food in Ottawa!! Their Spanakopita Appetizer consists of 2x generous portions. Each one contains “lots of Spinach & lots of Feta Cheese” wrapped in a lovely buttery, flaky phyllo pastry with Garlic Sauce on the side. I could just go there for this appetizer alone!! For my main dish, I ordered the stuffed Santorini chicken which was flavorful and tender. My husband ordered a Shrimp appetizer which was delicious. For his main dish, he chose the Lamb Shank which was also flavorful and tender. The dishes we ordered were flavored with garlic or came with creamy garlic sauces which is definitely a spice we love!! The service is impeccable!! Note: The first time we tried out this restaurant, I was worried whether other people’s conversations would be too loud since the place is on the intimate side. But I am happy to say that the food is so incredibly amazing, that I couldn’t care less if people were loud or not!! — which is a first for me!!
