fries and curds — Restaurant in Ottawa

I'm not going to lie, I really thought the portions for my poutine would be larger. I paid fourteen dollars for a 'regular' sized portion, and I thought it would be over-the-top spectacular, and a larger portion. The small box I was provided was the size of my hand. I'd have brushed it off if it was really delicious, but the gravy must have had extra flour in it or something, because it was rather grainy and dried my mouth out. Hoping I'm not the only one who got a terrible portion and sub-par food for so much money. The deep fried pickles were a bit much $$$ as well, but they tasted really great, so I won't complain too much...

Came here just before 9 on Sunday September 8th, got a charbroiled burger combo and a small Pina colada shake. Buddy on the grill cut a slit in the burger to temp it I guess, but that let all the juices out and it was over cooked and dry. The toppings were meh, the bun was stale. The fries were dry, had no flavour (barely any salt) and some were cold. The shake was alright I guess, not worth 8$ or so. This place used to be a whole lot better even near closing time. McDonald’s it...

Ordered from this place during COVID. I live far-ish from here but they were available late on UberEats and I was incredibly impressed by their poutine. The owner(?) called every time there were no delivery drivers who could accept the order to apologise about the wait. I still dream about this place. Will need to drop...
