Pocopazzo — Restaurant in Ottawa

I had originally made reservations for 4 on Sept 9 at 7:00pm. On the day of the reservation I received a call from the restaurant asking if I could change my reservation to 7:15pm. Not a problem. We arrived at 7:15 and were seated promptly. We had cocktails before dinner and appetizers as ordered. Thereafter we watched customers (even those who arrived after us) being served their dinners while we patiently waited. At around 8:30pm I called the waitress (Rose) over to let her know that the wait was becoming unreasonable. I let her know that in future she might want to be proactive to get in front of any issues and address them with the customer before the customer did. I also suggested that she might want to consider a complementary bottle of wine given we had finished the one we had ordered for dinner. It was in jest but with a little truth attached. She apologized and said our dinners would be arriving shortly. We didn't receive our orders till after 9:25pm over 2 hours after sitting down. No compensation was offered nor was any part of the meal credited as a conciliatory offer as a result of the completely unreasonable delay. I tipped reasonably because I felt that the servers were not responsible for the delays we experienced, but I was very disappointed with how the issue not addressed. We received our bill paid and left at 10:15pm. Our table discussion became focused on the long wait for our meal and took away from the celebration intended. I used to love the march road location so figured I would love this one. Super disappointed. First they brought us our entrees before our appetizers. When we said we never got our apps they said Ohhh these must not be yours (even though they clearly were our 4 meals). Later we were told they were for take out....but we knew they werent. Then it took another 25 mins for us to get our apps about an hour in. Bruschetta was just tomatoes on cold bread. No cheese, no drizzle. The antioesto for four had 6 pieces of cheese and was a pile of salami and prosciutto that they didnt even cut. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our meals. My chicken parm was very over done but the rest was ok. Then as we finish and think about desert we get told "sorry but your close to your 2 hour max sitting". Not our fault it took this long but sure i suppose. Not to mention we were nit attended to for nearly 30 minutes after we asked where our apps were.

This is nowhere close to the quality and care given at the march road location. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because at least our server was pleasant when she was around. Used to be our go to date night restaurant. Now your better off going to Ale amberwood lounge, the keg, or chop because this place has gone way...

Alright, from the start, what a disappointment. Before you say I am picky or strict or whatever it is, please read the whole review. Yesterday was my second time going to Pocco Pazzo, since my first time there on 21st of February 2021. My first visit there I was impressed with the food portions and how good the Frutti Di Marre was. It was such a blast.

3 years later I am back and I was expecting the same or even better. What a shame. Not only did they reduce the portions as you can see on the pictures but I had the shock of the evening when it was 28$ for a chicken alfredo.. At Moxies it’s 25$ and I add extra shrimps that gets it to 32$. Yesterday I asked for extra shrimps with the chicken and they charged me 12$ for 4 pieces…..

The Frutti di Mare, a seafood pasta with 2 scrimps and one scallop. I don’t think I have to say anything else. What a shame, what a pure shame and at this point they are scamming people. I am being harsh because it’s unacceptable. Raising prices and reducing portions. What a disgrace. Service was the only thing notable.

That’s all I have to say really. What a shame Pocco Pazzo, yesterday was an immense disappointment. Went there twice and I will never step foot...
