Disappointed. We ordered 4 meals and there were mistakes on 2 of the orders.

Our original waiter didn't apologize for the mix up nor did he come back to our table until clean up.

We understand mistakes happen- but ownership of errors are important.

Another person came and asked what I wanted instead of my meal. The problem was...I went on a suggestion of my original waiter who said any burger can be made vegetarian. I shouldn't be made to feel ..like it's my fault. I explained I wanted the meal but ...the order that I requested.

Second...my wife's order had bacon...didn't come with it...when I said it was missing...a plate was brought with bacon..and no apologies of a second mistake.

No one came to talk to us about the mistakes and our bill was brought with no changes or discussion.

Very disappointing that this is the client service...provided today.

I have visted many times and ordered via takeout..and never had such a horrible experience like this.

Other tables were asked if they needed stuff...but we weren't. Why is that?

I had my meal..much after the rest of my family.

I even ordered a beer..and no one asked if I needed another.

Blantly shocked...on...

I visited on a Wednesday for the advertised half price wings. The place looked nice inside, but it was only bad surprises from then on.

The simple ranch dip that's usually included with wings was now an extra fee, and only the first 8 wings or so was actually half price. No celery sticks are included either. I also ordered the signature black and blue steak. It was pretty bad. Warm wilted spring mix with tough flavorless steak on top served on a long rectangular plate instead of a normal plate or bowl. Dressing was not good either. Service was also super slow.

Does the Royal Oak really think it's worth charging extra for dip? You are killing the mood of your patrons for just 75 cents of profit. And if only the first order of wings is half price per table then then why would that make me want to come back regularly on a slow day like Wednesday? Especially with a big party. I'm willing to spend money on overpriced drinks if you just lure me in with some kind of honest special. You got me there successfully, but I left feeling like I had been tricked with a bait and...

I am not normally one to write reviews but when you and your boyfriend go out frequently and are disappointed at every place for both the food and service we felt it necessary to write this review. We walked into the new Royal Oak on hazeldean and were utterly surprised by this one employee. We sat at the bar we served by Chad and were far from disappointed ( for once) Honestly have not had this great deal of customer service from the hospitality industry in a very long time. Chad was attentive, he came over right away explained the drink and food menu and was just EXCEPTIONAL!! His personality and expertise in this role does not go unnoticed. This will most definitely be our new go to hang out spot as long as Chad is working the bar! I hope The owner of this bar reads this review, this bartender is outstanding and we cannot express our gratitude enough in this review . Chad you left a lasting impression and we will be back to see ya soon! Keep up the good work, the industry needs more...

Our office decided to order lunch from the Royal Oak for a business meeting, we’ve eaten there before and it’s always a favourite. We get take out, but the food is still warm by the time it gets back to the office. I usually get the spicy buffalo chicken wrap but get the cauliflower substituted for chicken. The wrap is always flavourful, and usually has the perfect amount of sauce in the wrap (and this was no exception). The fries are good, but the true star of the dish is the wrap. My colleagues ordered salads, one ordered a goat cheese and walnut salad with chicken and the other ordered a garden salad. Both salads were fresh, with bright greens. I liked that they packaged the dressing so you can decide the amount of dressing and so the greens stay fresh. The goat cheese was panko crusted and smelled amazing. All together, another wonderful lunch from The Royal Oak. Happy to have some great options in Stittsville!

Great evening with 15 of us celebrating a 70th birthday party. It was a fun atmosphere and we weren't rushed out but must say they were a bit overwhelmed as drinks took a while to come. In fairness, there was also an even larger party for a 50th birthday party on top of regular clients and the servers were quite young so likely inexperienced but very pleasant. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cake in too. Also, there was some confusion at the end of the night for who was paying for what. House wine was great and so was the Whisky Sour. We had the Butter Chicken and Grilled Salmon that were hot and delicious. Plenty of parking. This is definitely a place I'd come back too whether for a meal or for drinks to watch a game and play darts.

They have 3 servers serving the patio outside who are like 7-10 tables, but your beer still needs 15mins to come, and when you want to pay you can't find them. They have this summer menu where you get 2 skewers for $24 bucks+tax+tips=$30, yes for 2 skewers and "fragrant" rice, lol. We still ordered it cause we wanted to try it and they didn't have it. They didn't have half of the summer grill menu which lasts less than 30 days and has 5 items. If you don't have your specials available even in mid week then why do you bring the menu to the table? Crazy prices for sure. And the beer is $13 for a pint (after tip and taxes ofc) And the ambience is not like it's something luxury or the cuisine is crafty. Nothing like that.
