Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ottawa

Beware, of this location on Richmond Road, Ottawa!!    This is the second time I've ordered online and paid, yet they haven't prepared my order.

Earlier this year, I placed an order for pickup, only to find it unprepared.  It was near closing time and the ‘cashier/manager’, not the kitchen staff, scurried around to make my order. Her efforts produced chicken that was totally deplorable and uneatable.  It appeared to be repurposed stale chicken, which was re-fried.  It was absolutely only – fit for the garbage.

I have tried to contact the franchisor on several occasions, never to receive as much as a single call from him or her to determine the matter. Had I reached the franchisor, I would have expected some form of compensation.

Last night, I made a mistake ordering from this location.    Once more, I arrived for my fully paid order, only to find it not ready.   Realizing that my order was not ready, I requested a refund.    Naturally, I expected to be refunded right away.

Frankly, something is completely wrong, when a company expects to keep a customer's money unlawfully, for a service that has not been received. No matter how many times the "manager" attempted to refund me (at least 8 times), the transaction was declined.  The slip of paper read; ‘ amount too large421’.   Is this an attempt to override the refund system on the part of this location?  As there was a problem with their system, I would have thought, the manager would have refunded me in cash.   However, she refused and said that I had to come back the following day to talk to the manager.

This Popeye location, I suggest you avoid it, so that something similar does not happen to you.  My experience at Ottawa’s other Popeye's locations have been great. This manager could use a lesson so as to become a better manager, who can solve issues on the spot, and leave the cooking of the chicken to the...

Literally the worst place to eat EVER! So here is the story. I ordered on Uber, a big family combo and got two extra sauces and one BIG BOTTLE OF SPRITE! anyways, when the Uber delivery came, I saw that they gave me ONE CUP OF SPRITE and they still charged me of course but that’s not the problem. Here is where the problem started.. I called them to tell them about the problem and you know what they told me? They told me to CALL UBER and they even said that before I even asked my question and told them anything. And I’m like why are u even blaming Uber driver? And they said Uber drives always STEAL food and they don’t give the customers all their food. So I lost my temper to be honest because like WHERE IS HIS RESPECT AND DIGNITY?! I’m like you are the one who messed up the order and u are blaming it on people who are working hard everyday to survive their life in Canada?! of course these people blame the poor Uber drivers for their own benefit to STEAL money. They are the ones who are stealing. But the fact that they can easily blame Uber drivers really made me heat up and get upset. Their food is already GROSS and is made with the WORST OIL ever. Their food is bad, but they have NO RESPECT, NO DIGNITY! they weren’t Canadian so they were definitely immigrants and as an immigrant girl who came here, I know how hard it is to survive here without a job and they should of all people UNDERSTAND! But they don’t deserve their job. THIS FAST FOOD PLACE NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN! THEY ARE FEEDING US THE WORST FOOD AND ARE TREATING US LIKE WE ARENT HUMANS AND THEY ACCUSE DRIVERS FOR STEALING! 1 Star is for the chicken, otherwise 0 star Popeye's has always been a great place to eat, my family has been eating it for a couple years from Toronto to Ottawa. The Chicken has decreased in value and become very salty, The chicken is still better then the boiled KFC chicken. Today they messed up My order EXTREMELY, I asked for 3 piece chicken breast, and a burger and fries, not Combo. the lady said OK, I paid for my order, she hands me a drink and claims its cheaper although its a dollar more expensive. When i get home i checked the chicken and i had gotten a 2 piece chicken, with 1 piece basically just bones, NOT breast, and the other piece a tiny breast piece, I also got no dip or biscuit, neither was asked for it. my burger took about 10 minutes to make although the other women who ordered at the same time only took 2 minutes, interesting. Most of the time the food is also cold, got a family deal once and most of it was cold

I would definitely recommend Popeye chicken, especially over KFC, Just do not go to this location, they mess up your order and make you pay more
