This is an updated review compared to what this Shawarma joint used to be and I have to say maybe it is a management change or a receipt change but it is all for the better!

Arrived for the first time this week as the reviews seem to be favorable. We were not disappointed. We came between lunch and dinner and they were just preparing fresh potatoes and since it was part of the combo he asked politely if we didn’t mind waiting a few minutes until they were finished. When we got the combos there was more than ample ingredients and chicken on the shawarma and all really fresh and tasty. The potatoes were great and the garlic sauce was excellent. The staff was more than friendly they were engaging and willing to explain their food choices and even how it is made. As we finished our food we were treated to a complimentary Baklava because of the time we had to sit for the potatoes. This was an unexpected treat and really took this place to the next level in service A lot of competition in Ottawa for your Shawarma dollar and Garlic and Onion sure have our business...

I would give 0 stars if I could. . . the first time I ate from here I had a beef shawarma, it was alright, today around 4:30pm 11/9/2020 I ordered the same thing but on skip and they gave me a shawarma with bad meat, I could tell because as soon as I ate it I could barley even swallow it down because of the awful bland taste, it was so bad I spat it out right away, seamed like they tried to season the meat well enough to hid the taste but I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and 10 minutes later I get a mild headache. . . IDK how theses people run their business but if any one ordered a beef shawarma from them on 11/09/2020 they 9/10 got food poisoning, skip was kind enough to give me a refund but I find it pathetic that Garlic & Onion would subject their customers to food poising during COVID-19, NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN...
