My wife and I have been going to this restaurant on Sundays for nearly 3 years maybe even 5 years. Recently since under new management service has went down. I gave 3 stars but that is already too much as of late. There are also occasions when we bring others there as well. We bring them business. Our tip base starts at $5.00 for the 2 of us and that increases dramatically when we bring others and Family. Waitresses do well by us as our tip is always more than 15 % . Lately as under new management service has dropped to nearly none, we've had to send orders back and as well waited for our entire food order. Once we even had to ask where the remaining part of my wife's order was. Next thing you know we hear it being ordered. On this occasion my wife had eaten nearly her entire order before she got the eggs she originally ordered. We are regulars so out order never really changes. I order soft bacon as I don't like bacon. I really don't like sausages either and I don't do ham at all. Seems they got this order right only once in more than 6 months. Now I am sending it back if not right. Tired of not getting what I ask or pay for. (This in part is there doesn't seem to be any QC at the pass.). Today our order arrived but my eggs wrre cold and my wifes bacon also cold. Like i said tip starts at $5 and goes down from there. Last week tip went down to $2.00 . I am all about service and this includes coffee refills with my meal before and after. Waitresses seem to think they deserve my $5.00. Their tip is also based on that what I ordered is delivered as I ordered it. If the kitchen screws up thats on the waitress to have it corrected before bringing to our table. This is not being done. We are looking for another restrarant for our Sunday breakfast as service here is now in a Failing grade. I sure hope this gets to Not only head office but also to the local establishment. Do note I gave them 2 stars but really they need to pick it up because they really deserve a 1 star based on service in the last month when new management took over. I hope he see's or is shown this...
Read moreI am writing this review on behalf of my husband. I cannot begin to explain the disappointment and shock I currently feel. I can only imagine how he feels. My husband had came in the morning of January 31st, because he was ecstatic to try the All You Can Eat Crepes for $10. He had asked to be seated in the back corner because he enjoys his privacy, as this is a fairly busy restaurant. He was seated at a table that accommodates two. He placed his jacket on one of the two seats and got up to wash his hands. While washing his hands a gentleman had decided to go and sit down on the second seat of where my husbands table is set. Now as a hostess and server, does that make any sense to let a random customer sit where you have already placed one customer? My husband politely asked this gentleman to move since he is already sitting at this table (which he shouldn’t even had to do because it is not his job to seat guests). The gentleman refused to move and told my husband that “there is plenty of space for the both of them to eat at this table together” and if my husband wanted, that my husband should move himself and eat at another table. The waitresses and hostess did nothing to accommodate my husband who was originally seated at that table and instead told my husband “it’s a misunderstanding.” If it was a misunderstanding shouldn’t you move the gentleman to another table instead of now insisting my husband sit somewhere else? Then the waitress went on to say that the table they seated my husband at, was a table for employees. My husband left because who would want to eat in a establishment they don’t even feel welcomed. One of the customers had told my husband to “tone it down because this is a family owned restaurant” when my husband did nothing wrong. Provided that this is a “family restaurant” I hope that the owners and employees of this establishment can feel how hurt I am for a member...
Read moreWent at 11:30 on a Thursday, around 10 tables (mostly of 2 guests) during our visit. Were sat at a table that was unreasonably cramped, despite it not being busy, so much so that we actually moved the table a foot away from the people behind us. Service was slow (offered drinks, got our drinks dropped off with no question of ordering meal, she just walked away and came back about 6 mins later).
My meal, Buckwheat Blessing, was good, although I requested the sausages well-done and they were not. Presentation was "ok", as you can see from pic, but on a smaller random dinner plate so when it was set down- my apples and a strawberry fell off into the table. This just makes me think that a) some probably fell off at the holding station and was popped back on by whomever, and b) that it would have been pretty difficult for the server to have carried it without touching my actual food.
My companion's meal was the western Crepe-omelette which she described as incredibly bland, surprising considering the ingredients in it. It was also odd to have big chunks of peppers just rolled into it vs small pieces cut up like the tomatoes and onions in the actual omelette.
All in all, no major complaints, but I've eaten at Cora's locations (most in QC) dozens of times over the last 20 years and it has almost always been consistently great. Been to this location 3 or 4 times, though, and it just seems to fall short of the standards that the company has in place every...
