Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ottawa

Holy moly was our experience bad at this location!

Not only did we wait over 30 minutes for our order, but we had paid extra to ensure that there were 4 chicken breasts in our 12 piece meal, and the rest as less drumsticks but more thighs.

People were all agitated there, and some had even complained about the wait.

After the 30+ minutes of waiting for fast food, we had finally received our order. However, it was all wrong! There was only 1 chicken breast and the majority were drumsticks with few thighs!

When my fiance went back the next day to possibly fix the situation with money back/gift card (with picture proof of the order and the receipt), the manager told my fiance that he would only re-imburse the chicken that were missing, instead of the overall value.

This was not a reasonable action on his part, as the fast food restaurant had not only made us wait 30 minutes for a few pieces of fried chicken, but had also totally messed up our order and ruined our first popeyes experience in Kanata.

Such a shame that we had such a bad experience here, because I truly love Popeyes and would have been a loyal customer if only the restaurant provided good service.

*EDIT:My fiance went back to claim the chicken that were missing and had a chat with the manager. He is a really good guy who is having a rough time with his employees.

The employees have absolutely no clue what they are doing and are tarnishing the reputation of the owner's restaurant.

I was there 30 minutes before the store closing time and they did not have chickens or sandwiches. Manager only offered chicken tenders. That's it. And it was my second time to have such experience. If they are trying to sell the last few pieces of chicken tenders left over within the last 30 minutes. come on , either you close the store at 8:30 or have all the items on the menu. I can't understand how a manager can turn away many customers. Such a bad practice for business growth. Watch out for your competitors.

I wanted to get couple of chicken sandwiches and kids meal but they only offered mild chicken and fries.

Talked to the manger on the duty and he clearly said that I have to come an hour early to get any of those item. Luckily I was able to get to get what I wanted from Mary Browns in Kanata.

I visited this location again on Aug 12 at 8:30PM. I am very disappointed to say that nothing had changed with respect to what you can get during the last hour of the closing time. They offer only the left overs. Pretty sad.

My Visit on April 16 2021 @ 8:21PM. I wanted to get few orders of chicken nuggets , the manager told me that they don't have chicken nuggets because they are clean the fryers. But I can have left over chicken and fries. SO SO DISAPPOINTED.

This happened a few weeks before posting this review and within a few days of it opening as the store had not been added to google yet.

Walked in to the store finding three staff members on break at the same time. Five customers already waiting for food and nobody in line. I made the mistake of ordering a tenders platter with fries and rings. I was told it would take about 5 minutes to make the rings. Ten minutes later I was told that they were out of onion rings so I changed my side selection, two of which were not available. In this time none of the other people in the store had received their orders yet. I had gotten my drink cup as I ordered and when I went to fill it the drink station was a mess and had no lids or straws I had to ask the lady at the counter for the items and she had no idea what I was talking about, she did not seem to understand english very well. After about another 45 minutes I received my order as had the other people waiting and a few more who had come in and did not heed the warnings were now waiting for food. My tenders were cold as if they had been sitting in the box since I ordered them an hour previous. The box containing my side dishes did indeed include onion rings as I had ordered though I was told they were out of stock. In total I had waited just under an hour for cold chicken and sides I was told were out of stock. There's a severe lack of management and supervision at this location.
