House of Georgie Sorento's in Ottawa is a hidden gem in the city's culinary landscape. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with the scent of pizza and a warm smile.
Now, let's talk about their pizza – it's incredible. The crust is thin and perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the cheese is perfectly melted. My favorite is the classic combination pizza, but they also have a variety of other options like the House Special, loaded with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Each bite is a burst of flavor, and it's clear that the ingredients are of the highest quality.
And then there are the wings and fries. They're cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and juicy, flavorful interior. The wings come in a variety of sauces, from mild to hot, and each one is delicious in its own way. The fries are hand-cut and seasoned to perfection, making them the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Overall, House of Georgie Sorento's is a must-visit for anyone in Ottawa. The food is fantastic, the service is top-notch. Whether you're in the mood for pizza, wings, or fries, you won't be...
Read moreWe have ordered from House of Georgie Sorento’s twice before, and have had nothing but excellent food delivered. This time, it was like a whole different restaurant.
I ordered the Two Italian Dinner Combo, with 1x Spaghetti/Penne & meatballs, and 1x Baked penne (no meat!!). The garlic knots were BURNT, the spaghetti had no meatballs, and the baked penne… where do I begin.
The baked penne was so over cooked that the noodles were shredded to pieces. There was twice the amount of tomato sauce than usual, and ZERO cheese. AND - there were meatballs!!! The (no meat) option on the menu is great for vegetarians, but not when it’s ignored by the restaurant!
Now, you could say that I’m mixing up the dishes - maybe the shredded penne is supposed to be the spaghetti/penne with meatballs. In that case, the pasta is still over cooked and drowning in too much sauce. AND, then the “baked penne” would be spaghetti noodles with, again, no cheese. Either way, not great.
I’m so disappointed honestly. I was looking forward to having House of Georgie Sorento’s again as I had enjoyed it so much before, but had this been a first impression, I’d certainly never order...
Read moreDO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS. I would give no stars if I could and still leave a bad review. I ordered on line as the website suggested. I had a confirmation email saying it would be delivered in 45 minutes. I live a 10 minute car ride away. 2 hours late the driver showed up. I called 3 times. Each time I was told it was on the way. The last time, I called I was told I was speaking to the owner. He said my pizza would have been faster if I called the store directly. I would have done this, but their website offered me the online ordering option. I was offered 2 free drinks. Ha, what is that worth? A dollar? When the driver showed up, he told me he was directed to not leave the pizza if I didn't pay. Not sure what they are going to do with it? He'd rather annoy a new potential customer than leave a free pizza over an hour late. I have never not accepted a delivery or left a bad review. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered. In a competition for business, I am really surprised at the treatment of this situation. It has been around for a long time. Must be new owners. Bet the positive reviews...
