I always hesitate to give less than 5 stars because I know it can impact a business, but I feel 4 stars is fair here (and I even debated giving 3). While not all staff are the same, I’ve had experiences with some employees who come off as know-it-alls. Even as someone who knows a lot about technology, I believe no one can know everything—especially in a field that evolves so rapidly. It’s frustrating when staff dismiss customers or insist they’re wrong, especially when they try to sell you something that’s incompatible with your system. That being said, this store is still a convenient option, especially since it’s downtown. My advice: do your homework and thoroughly research what you need before visiting. Double-check their recommendations to ensure compatibility. Lastly, always keep your receipts—you might need them later.

I went to Canada Computers on a mission to find a Type-C Adapter for my phone. I couldn't believe that they actually had them in stock. There were two left, so I bought them. I spoke with three store employees while I was there and the service was impeccable. The people new what they were talking about and one employee actually stated that they were not very experienced in a specific field. I could always appreciate honesty while shopping. I will definitely go back to this store. You should at least check it out. It is worth your time! I want to say thanks to the employees that were really helpful. ⭐

While waiting for a prescription at the Shoppers across the street after dental surgery, I decided since I was in the market for a new desktop and was carrying $1,500 in cash for that purpose, I would stroll into the Canada Computers across the street.

However, upon entry I was humiliated and my rights were egregiously violated; I was menaced and technically assaulted by staff for simply asking if I could wash my hands rather than use their toxic hand sanitizer.

When I simply asked for this courtesy, which the law allows, five or six staff moved in on me as if I was about to rob the store. I was freaked out, started backing out as they moved in on me, and took my mask off to protest their abusive behaviour, and regain at least some humanity in the face of this blatant abrogation of my civil rights and threats to my physical safety, at the hands of total strangers acting irrationally.

I would like to point out that Psychopaths and Paranoid Schizophrenics assault people to protect them from invisible things!!

I have called head office and I'm in the process of contacting a lawyer. I am utterly fed up with a terrorist government spreading fear and panic through the populace, and the willingness of petty individuals to CRIMINALLY AND ABUSIVELY wield their petty power, would make Hitler and Stalin both blush.

This company needs to take responsibility for their policies. They are now, in turn, terrorizing the public, spreading fear and panic, and they need to LEGALLY JUSTIFY what exactly this invisible threat is!!

If they cannot produce proof that there is an invisible threat then they are, by definition, in a clinical psychosis.

This is mass collective cultural psychosis based on massive medical fraud, at the hands of an out of control, abusive, psychotic, paranoid schizophrenic government!!

I am not required to prove that the Moon is not made of green cheese!! You are required to prove your paranoid schizophrenic delusional claims.

My father held Ottawa Centre for 20 years for the NDP, and I am NOT going to be humiliated and threatened with assault in the riding I grew up in 50 years ago.

If you are reading this and can't tell that we have completely lost our way and are being destroyed and about to lose everything good about our former culture - as if this hasn't happened already, if there was anything good left in the first place - then you need to move to North Korea.

This is disgusting and criminal Insanity on the part of your company. I am not putting up with it. I strongly suggest anyone reading this to act in a similar fashion or you might as well be living out the rest of your life in a South American gulag.

YOUR POLICIES ARE ABSURD. IF THERE IS THAT MUCH DANGER, YOU SHOULD NOT BE PUTTING THE PUBLIC AT RISK BY INVITING US INTO YOUR STORE.

I ENTERED YOUR BUSINESS IN GOOD FAITH, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN THIS ABUSE BE...

I placed a gpu order down for Asus Rog Strix 3080 Gpu on Feb 23 and waited for 2 months for the order. Before I placed the order I was informed I could call in and check of the status any time as long as I had the invoice... So during the first month of waiting I called once and asked for a update and the employees couldn’t find my status and so he but the manager on, that’s where things got out of control... Manager gave me tons of attitude over the phone telling me all sorts of policies and all I asked was where I was on the waiting list... a simple yes or no answer was needed at that time... he hung up and didn’t answer.... second time I called to the store which is now 7 weeks of waiting for the gpu still no word on anything so I tried see maybe things are little different... The manager answered and went ballistic on me over the phone. I said to him facts and customer relationship policies and that all I am asking is to see I moved up on the back order list at that point nothing else was said between him and I... so I come into store today April 3 and the manager now informed that they took me off that list awhile back trying to say I canceled the order then admitted he canceled it because it was his right... Excuse me you can’t do that and when you do you have to inform the customer immediately... So I said well give my money back and he refuse to give it back to me until I threaten to call the cops... then he does so no questions after embarrassing me in front of all his staff and customers, refuse to give out any district manger cards. Sorry but as a customer and long time Canada Computers loyalist I think this is the upmost rudest behaviour...

So now I have no gpu coming my way, two months of wasted time which of coarse puts me in the scalpers market in need of a gpu all thanks to these losers at this store branch... Best part they were never going to order my pc part in for me and they tried to run off with my money...Why because the supervisor didn’t like being told customers have a right to know where there product is or where they sit in the waiting list of the line...He probably sold my gpu to a scalper someone said and to think of it I wouldn’t be surprised... No manager takes someone off a list like he did, I didn’t swear at them or nothing but be polite over the phone and they went off on me like that... So I contacted Canada Computers CEO and brought this to his attention... I won’t tolerate this abusive behaviour especially now during this pandemic.... If I could give this location 0...

July 2023 - I had a very very negative overall experience with this Canada Computers at 279 Laurier Avenue. I took my computer in for a hardware replacement/fix, I left my computer with them for a week for an estimate on costs, I had to end up calling them back to inquire if they’d finished. They quoted me several hundred dollars which I would’ve been willing to pay, despite now having found a place on Rideau that will do it for less that half their quote. They told me they’d have to order the part I needed from head office, which was fine by me but they told me it may take around 4 weeks because they can only communicate to head office through an archaic indirect email ticket submission. So I waited being told I would be contacted when that part arrived, I never was, I contacted them after 4 weeks, told it wasn’t here yet, called again at 6 weeks and they told me “oh yeah I guess come in”. I come in and leave my laptop with them for an inspection before labor/replacement. When I walk in 10 business days later because I haven’t heard from them again, even though I’ve been told my laptop is the front of the service queue, and what they will work on first thing in the morning, when I walk in my laptop is laying on the dirty tile floor behind the counter. I ask is that mine? I’m told “uh yeah”. When it’s picked up and handed to me on the counter, it’s in WORSE condition than I gave it to them. A screw falls out in front of me and the technician. I’m furious, but I explain I’m upset because I hate being a difficult customer. I leave with my laptop to think about this and get a call with an apology and they asked me to bring it back. I do (my mistake). Leave it for a couple more days and finally they call and say the part they ordered is broken! They have to order another one! I say I’m coming in to get my laptop for now. I pick it up. They email me three months later saying the second part has arrived, please come in, and 280 for the labour and part. I reply that I am very unhappy with the level of service I’ve been given and have not felt like a priority, I will do business with you if you do it at half price for my trouble over five months with your company. They never answer.

Garbage service and a headache over around six months for me. Visit here at...
