Second Cup Heron Park — Restaurant in Ottawa

Stopped in on a busier than average Monday night, and I usually don't leave bad reviews because I absolutely get that front line work can be draining, but the barista that served us was absolutely surly and complained about not getting paid past closing time when we asked if it was always that busy (this was at around 10:30, when they don't close until midnight, mind you). Even though her overall attitude definitely wasn't welcoming and made sure that we didn't stick around to enjoy our drinks in store, I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt until we saw her using the pitcher marked 'dairy' to make my partner's soy drink - not okay when there's allergies or intolerances in the mix! Maybe this location should look into having more than one barista on staff at a time to take some of the load off. Was in around 3:45 today. Bought a Frozen Hot Chocolate and specified no whipped cream. A croissant with ham and cheese and a lemonade. I have come in often since I relocated to Ottawa but wont be coming in anymore. I specified no whipped at the register, the order taker, a male took my order and walked right back behind the bar to stand around and do nothing (I would have liked my receipt but talking to co-workers was more important). The lady making my drink put whipped, when I said I asked for no whipped she looked at the order taker for validation instead of just apologizing and remaking it. She then took a spoon, did a poor job of scooping it out, gave it back no apology and walked away. Was just very rude. I understand that bad days are going to be had but I have always tipped well, and have been very nice when I came in. I have been Coming to this second cup location from 2017-present, and when I say I have been coming, I don't mean here and there, to say I am a regular is an understatement, I say that to say this, my experience with this location has been nothing short of a warm and inviting environment, the baristas have always given me great customer service, and when you come a few times, many times they remember your drinks.
