Shawarma Shish — Restaurant in Ottawa

This place used to be really good, I don’t know what happened but recently the food quality has degraded . A couple weeks ago I found a piece of plastic, around the size of a toonie, in my chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwiches are very inconsistent too and the chicken lacks a lot of flavour, some days it’s fine but others I don’t even finish the sandwich because I’ll find large spices and shards of lemon peel in the sandwich (happened on multiple occasions). I really want to support this place since there aren’t really any other shawarma places in bells corners but I think I’ll have to stop going here every week until they implement some kind of quality control there. Besides the chicken, the salad and potatoes are really good. I’m very disappointed though. I want to say the owner is genuine and tries his best so I hope if you read this that you somehow improve the chicken, otherwise I like...

Just WOW! We have tried several shawarma places in Ottawa. We love getting a family platter to go, as we can eat for two days. This was our first time trying Shawarma Shish. Mark my words, I may never eat at any other Shawarma place again! This place is amazing. You just have to try it. Their rice is magical...scented with spices, just delicious! I got a chicken plate to go but when I was carrying the bag outside I thought it smelled bad and I even noticed people complaining about the smell lol. So embarrassing. There's something not right with that lol. UPDATE: couldn't eat half of it. Felt sick all night...woke with sweats, sore stomach and nausea probably some food poisoning. And when I think about it, they actually served me food that they had already put away in the back since they were closing in 20 min. Respect yourself and don't go here they don't care about...
