Starbucks — Restaurant in Ottawa

I love Starbucks and go to the different locations often. My toddler loves their brownie especially as she always gets it with a shot of whip cream. This is what makes Starbucks brownie special and why she requests Starbucks whenever I take her out for a treat. Whenever I ask at other Starbucks to put a touch of whip cream, the staff always happily do so with no hesitation. Some go above and beyond and actually give her a mini cup of whip cream (for free). At this Starbucks (Place d'Orleans) though, the staff refused to put whip cream as they said it was for dogs only (they get a free doggy cup of whip cream, not just a tiny decorative bit which is what I was asking for). I explained I have never had issues (the +30 times I have gotten it at other locations) but they insisted 'only for dogs'. They cared more about their apparent 'rule' than making a little girl happy with a tiny bit of whip cream (she was beside me and was confused and disappointed). They didn't even think to offer me the whip cream as a paid extra (though I have never been charged). I wanted to make a point of contacting this location about the quality of service I received today around 5pm. The woman making drinks admitted to letting mine get lost in the shuffle. However - it got lost because she locked in for a bit with a customer who clearly needed to chat for a minute or two while she made his drink. She was extremely apologetic to me afterwards but I couldn't have cared less. I could tell her brief interaction with the other customer made his day. Listening in and waiting an extra minute or so for my own order was no problem at all. Sometimes you witness a genuine interaction that reminds you how good people can be to each other. I didn't catch her name but...

We acknowledge( understand mistakes happen)tht they made a mistake a customer been waiting for 30 mins to get his " order" & telling us to wait because others who came after us are waiting & handed to him with an insult based on his race or gender 🙄 can believe this happens in 2020 and others are watching the disrespect she gave us ...& she's saying here you go your ...with insult ..so do not expect to give you a 5.. we can empathize they're maybe short staff but Never insult a customer using your "W...privilege" based on their race of tht customer...it's insulting, and a disrespect of the brand called...
