I added cucumbers to my order out of habit because I usually get them, but it wasn’t until after that I noticed how the cucumbers looked in their container.. they were already soggy looking because they had been frozen over, and as thinly as they were cut? that cucumber would never taste good that way. (The pic is from when we had just gotten home.) In addition, the lady at the counter didn’t even know how their coupon system worked when I tried to use two coupons for my sandwich and some cookies, told me I can only use one coupon a day 😂 as if they’d know if I go to another subway and order with more coupons there. I already know that’s not true and even searched it up for confirmation, all you have to do is separate transactions.. which that’s what I thought she was saying, and so I said I’d do that but she said I can only use one a day. I had to get my mom to come in and order the cookies, a different lady helped us out because the other was on break, but as we were being checked out she was calling over in their language and even moved spots to look over at us better. We ended up getting our cookies anyways. Now to the lady that got our cookies, She cleaned up some onions and tried to grab our cookies with the same gloves.. smh man. overall, was not...
Read moreOk, so what is there to say about a Subway chain outlet in suburban Ottawa? Two key points here. New and fast. Subway seems to be experimenting with a new layout and a new look and feel. The open concept layout means you won't feel like hearded cattle. In contrast, another local Subway crams the cash at the end of the line close to the washroom and drink machine. The new layout ensures plenty of room to compose your sandwich while not feeling crammed and rushed. Why do I say fast? Well, speed is partly time and partly a feeling about the passing of time . For a Subway joint the feeling is defined by the layout and I don't feel rushed when I am not crammed, and I never feel crammed here. Next there is the traffic. Traffic is slower right now because this is a new strip mall. However with a large costco with gas bar near by their is certainly car traffic but foot traffic is a little slow. Last week I stood in line at another Subway near by, and the lunch rush was epic. So I left, drove 5 minutes and was promptly served. This location may not always be fast in the future, but the layout and cleanliness will keep me coming back. Thanks for the new...
Read moreI have nothing bad to say about the employees, they're very nice and help in any way with a smile on their face. But the supervisor... very rude. I've been going to this subway for years and in the past 2-3 years changes have happened that I don't agree with. First of all, they are so cheap with their ingredients I feel like I'm just eating bread and I don't want to be rude and ask for "extra" everything just to get the type of sub I used to get. Today I go in to get 2 subs, there was only 1 other man in front of me and then a group of men came in which apparently means rush and don't do anything right. The manager was rushing even me as the customer to make the subs. I found it very rude and now I'm sitting here with a sub with 2 cucumbers? maybe 1 pickle? She didn't even look at me or smile or nothing like customer service should be (trust me I work with customers everyday I understand the stress) but there was no reason to rush all of us like that... I miss...
