So, I have been to this location many times, I am a local and I have raved about their menu many times previously. Sadly, tonight was a different experience. My server was nice enough and positive, but he kept upselling me without asking or giving me details. It was like he thought I was going there to get a buzz and I’m a woman so he would take advantage. It started with the beer, I know you can get a small or a latge beer, I ordered a simple beer and he did not question a size. He just brought a big one, I know this is common, it wasn’t a big deal so I drank it. For food, I ordered the Wagyu Gyoza which was $19 and I was OK paying that price for an appetizer thinking there would be some veggie sticks or something on the side but no it came with five pieces of Wagyu Gyoza, that is all. It was OK not great, I wouldn’t have known the difference if it was Wagyu meat or full fat - Food Basics ground. The server did not check in to see if I was happy, or liked it, I felt like he knew the serving size was far less than the dollars they were charging for it. Then we ordered fries, it was our third dish of the night and we asked for a side and a very large plate that came that we could not finish, I asked him if there were size options and he said no. Bullshit. There are sides, and there are full orders, after simply asking the question he said he could do a deal. I also ordered a glass of wine which comes in two different sizes and he asked me if I wanted a small or large I said small- he brought a large and then he charged me a large, which is a six dollar difference. He ended up charging me for the small after I asked for a discount because I had specifically requested the small. All in all it was a pretty bad experience at a restaurant where I have been really happy with the food and service before. We went last Thursday to their wing night - wings are half price. We’ve had decent experiences from them before but I felt the need to highlight our less than great experience on Thursday last week.

Our service was slow - it took the server two trips to bring us water and our other drinks.

My wings were cold - like they’d been taken out of their fridge and just plated and the sauce was incorrect. When I told my waitress, she offered to get new wings and I simply said I did not want new ones, I didn’t want anything else.

She didn’t like that and brought over the manager who also tried to convince me to get new wings. I repeatedly told them that I didn’t want new wings and got even more frustrated that they were trying to push them. I think it’s my right to say that I don’t want new wings.

We got our bill and they took both our wings off the bill which was appreciated although I was prepared to pay for my husbands as his were not as cold and he had eaten his. Hence the two stars not just one.

The waitress took my cash off the table, did not ask if I wanted change or anything. I watched her behind the bar for a good 5 minutes and when she return she dumped my $6 change in quarters.

So overall, the experience was not stellar. The service was mediocre and so was the food. I would have been fine if the manager listened to my request the first time of not wanting new wings - I did not feel heard or respected in my choice. Why would I want new wings when I should have had them done right the first time?

Also we felt that because we were not “regulars” to the bar, we were not served as well as those who have a relationship with the servers. While I respect relationships built, I would expect the same level of service which...

I've had drinks here several times before but have never tried the food. We took my friend for her birthday. I was excited that they had several plant based options and I settled on the Malaysia Bowl. Unfortunately it came with chicken on it. Maybe the server mixed it up because everyone else at my table had meat, I don't know but she took it back. I waited a long time for my order while the others ate. When it arrived, I was pretty shocked. There were barely any noodles or vegetables. Instead it was a soupy mess. I honestly can't believe a cook would send that out! I mean it looked nothing the same dish my friend ordered (with the chicken) but I was starving so I ate it. When the server came to ask me how it was, I was honest. She asked me if I wanted French fries instead! Really??? I said no thanks. I wasn't going to review this place because I thought they might compt my meal since it was so terrible but instead a bill was brought to me with a charge for chicken!!!
