Wish I had opened every single container before I made the 45 minute drive home, so I would have realized that my order was completely wrong. Thought I could be safe simply making sure there were the correct amount of containers and egg rolls… apparently not. Because the containers could contain any sort of surprises. CHECK ORDER VERY CAREFULLY, open the tightly knotted plastic bag and every container to be sure it’s what you paid for. The place was empty..,. I ordered well in advance, and told them I was happy to wait however long it took, no worries.. Annoying. Waste of $70!!!!
EDIT: perhaps you should delete the old photos of your menu, as that’s where I ordered from and it does not say the Chinese dinner for two comes with beef. And considering I ordered a separate beef and garlic, would you not think to explain that the dinner for two already comes with that EXACT dish, especially being a NEW change. I ended up having to go to my local spot and grab the missing chicken chow mein … add another $13 to my bill.
I did NOT arrive early, I arrived at the time your staff told me to arrive. I was very pleasant and made it very clear that I was in no hurry and was happy to wait. DO NOT try to make this out to be my fault in any way. The tone, and deception, in your response alone speaks volumes on your lack of customer service. Not to mention the NUMEROUS phone calls from you while we were trying to FINALLY sit down to eat dinner, as well as the rude voicemail left, after several calls, in a menacing tone “I want to speak to you” .. NO! RUDE! I do not need to speak with you, I will never be returning to your establishment and I’ve included a photo of the disappointing “chicken” balls we received, to add insult to injury, and the incorrect menu which is the first thing that pops up when you google your establishment! And according to Google the menu was updated less than a day ago… 🤔 Perhaps working on your approach to customer service may be something you consider. Have the day you deserve.
So zero accountability on your end then? Cool cool. And the date I circled literally shows your menu was updated on Google less than a day...
Read moreA recently discovered nut allergy in my toddler has left us craving Chinese food but unfortunately not any options out there. KungFu Bistro to the rescue!! I'll be honest and say I really wasn't expecting much. I ordered online then followed up with a phone call to confirm the nut allergy. I was assured nothing to worry about at all. It was a large order but was promised to be ready in 17 minutes. I gave them 30 minutes just in case, and was pleasantly surprised it was packaged and waiting for me still piping hot. The venue itself is very clean, tastefully decorated and modern. Was served by a polite gentleman at the cash. Drove 45 minutes to my house praying that the food would still be warm and worth the commute. I was very pleasantly surprised! Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a very long time! The General Tao has a wicked kick! I usually have to ask for extra spicy. Who would have thought that the chicken balls actually have chicken in them!?!?! Like large chunks of chicken! The juicy and tender beef and vegetables was cooked to perfection! No chewy stringy beef. Literally melt in your mouth. Vegetables have just the right amount of crunch without being raw. Chicken fried rice, steamed rice, Lemon Soo Guy, all of it was perfect! You have gained a new monthly customer! My only ask is that you please maintain this same level of service and quality!! It was worth the drive for me and I can't wait for...
Read moreWe went to Kung Fu Bistro with the kids last night on short notice, looking for a break in a family vacation filled with a little too much pizza. My wife is Chinese (I am not) and she has standards for Chinese cuisine. We were surprised and delighted when all of those were exceeded. The atmosphere was quite comfortable, low lighting but not dark, with an attractive folding screen near our table. We ordered fried rice for the kids which was served to us artfully folded in bay leaves. The hot and sour soup I ordered was very tasty, with bits of duck and pork for extra flavor. We had dumplings as well, and I ordered the Spicy Kungfu Chicken with molasses sauce. Both were excellent, delicious while also lighter and higher quality than you might expect from Chinese cuisine. We had so much of the molasses chicken we packed away part of it for today's lunch, and I had to be quick to get some before my wife finished all of it! We were talking with a woman I believe was the owner as were about to head out. She was telling us about personal issues with MSG and the mission she undertakes with the restaurant to provide high quality fare with no MSG added. This place was an excellent find and certainly one of the nicer and healthier places you could eat out near Ottawa...
