Wendy's — Restaurant in Ottawa

Wendy's is Wendy's, if you've never eaten it before the taco salad is really good. So is the baked potato as a side. Everyone has their favourites about this place. Personally, i don't like the hamburgers very much, they feel... Soggy. Some people like the soft meat, but i prefer the stiffer patties of, well, anywhere else. Notably the World Burger across the street.

Now, their crispy chicken sandwiches are actually petty good. Better than McDonald's, on par in my opinion with A&W but in a different way. Not as juicy, but the crisp makes up for it. I tried their ghost pepper ranch crispy chicken thinking that it would be a gimmick, and it wasn't quite as hot as it could have been, it was actually still really, really high in flavour an enjoyable to eat. The ghost pepper fries were too salty for me to finish, though.

My biggest problem today was using the drive through, we were handed a bag with all the "thanks bye" that comes with it, to find out it only had a salad in it. We wait, they come back and ask what's wrong, we tell them what we're missing and we get another bag with the chicken burger and chili. At this step we're still missing a hamburger, so we tell them and then they give it to us. So my recommendation is definitely don't leave the window without checking that all your food is there, because they sure didn't. And we were the only ones in the drive through line at the time, i can't imagine how much worse it might be if they're stressed.

Still annoyed my receipt wasn't in any of the bags, though. And they gave us three forks but no napkins for 3 burgers and a salad. I love the food, and i will be back again, but expect me to check that all my food is in before i drive off...

So to start off this review I should mention I ordered from this location in particular on the 23 of March for 7:00pm and I did not get to see my order for over an hour. First problem food was obviously cold, second problem we were missing items in our order, second problem the Strawberry frosty we ordered was mostly foam, third problem (probably the biggest problem) there was a mold on one of our burgers specifically on the cheese and inside the bun (picture should be attached its a little hard to tell because of quality sorry :\ ), fourth problem (While I did get refunded by Skipthedishes and only half of it was refunded) I went in person to share my problem to this location there supervisor that i went to this morning was a joke and clearly didnt know how to handle her job properly let alone take my criticism seriously the last thing I want is some one eating moldy food and she tried convincing me otherwise saying that chicken came in contact with the cheese and bun (which btw that would be a cross contamination issue please try and do better in knowing that) but me having worked in the food industry knew differently between cross contamination and mold. So no apology or anything I left and now im leaving this review warning any and all patrons stay away unless you want to eat moldy and cold food. (Sorry guys not eating here again hope you do better in the future, if I could give less then one star from this...

Terrible costumer service and I go to this location often as it is close to my home. This morning I was excited to try the new Wendy’s breakfast before work so I placed an order online for pick up. When arriving at this 1595 Merivale Rd, Ottawa, ON K2G 3J4 location I was told that the online is different from in store. When I purchased online they allowed me to select this location. I paid for two meals I was unable to receive either of them while I waited in the pickup area for 25 minutes nobody asked me while I was there or what I was waiting for. My food was never made so I then went to the cashier because I realized it was 10:33am 3 minutes after they’re breakfast was over they told me they could not find my order. The manager informed me that the order was removed from the screen and that they threw away all the breakfast food so I could not receive my order. In my opinion throwing away the un eaten food is a huge waste it should be given to employees or at least wait 5 minutes after breakfast time is over? They refused to give me a refund because I placed my order online they told me to come back tomorrow if I want the breakfast or dispute it with Wendy’s online. I will NEVER waste my time at this...
