Absolutely disgusted from my visit here. We came here with the reputation of parry sounds best fish and chip place to have a 180 degree experience. After 45 minutes of watching patrons coming in and out, picking up their order which was respectfully called ahead however we also noticed tables being served before us. Finally she asked us what we ordered again and within minutes our food was brought out cold, over cooked and fish was slimey. I asked her if there was anything she can do because we did not eat our meals due to the quality and she refused, said the cook was in training and he didn’t know what he was doing. She also checked the garbage for our consumption, came back and said we ate enough for 2 plates so she will refund one. The chef was the one to apologize to me and if he is in training, it is not this poor lads fault he doesn’t have a reliable trainer. I told her I appreciate the refund however I wish it wouldn’t of been so difficult for a customer to come in, pay for 3 meals and due to employee mistakes, be forced with a unsatisfied experience. I hope this shop changes it’s ways to bring back the reputation it had because by the way that went, good luck. I told local family and they were shocked at...
Read moreI hope this review helps people. Initally I was put off by the less than 4 star rating, I called every other fish and chips place in town and they were closed or not accepting take out orders. Finally decided to go with Seguin. I was put off a bit by the reviews and the menu prices, it seemed way below the standard for fish and chips, but when I saw pickerel on the menu I had to order. Ordered pickerel and chips. The pickerel was amazing, no doubt it was pickerel, two nice meaty crispy perfectly cooked pieces. Fries were ok, nothing special. The tartar sauce is the packet kind which I actually really like. Overall great portion for them price, the people eating in the restaurant were raving about the quantity of food and taste and I agree. Now to address what I notice has brought this places' rating down. They offer indian dishes as well, but looking at this place it is clearly a fish and chips place. There is elderly caucasian staff working, I remember thinking how can anyone expect that the curry dishes will be great from this place? I wouldnt order curry from here. So, if your in the market for fish and chips, please don't overlook this place, you wont be...
Read moreWe went in last night, a thin older caucasian woman came out, did not greet us just stood at the cash register. I asked her if there were any samosas left and she said there were but that she was closing 'her' kitchen in 5 minutes. We didn't order anything, said thanks and walked out because she was disinterested and rude. We love Indian/Sri Lankan food and we thought it might be authentic but one look at her and we weren't sure what were going to get except a bad attitude. We ended up at the Fort Knox Island Grill where we were pleasantly greeted by a very friendly young man! How hard is it to greet your customers with a friendly 'hello, welcome, how can I help you?' The food at Fort Knox Island Grill was delicious and fresh. It was our first experience with jerk chicken and we will definitely be going back there (my mom lives up here and we are here regularly) and will have to get our Indian...
