I have been in this restaurant over the course of my life. Many name changes and menu's too. I was somewhat reluctant to try this but it was my birthday and my boyfriend said, how bad can fine dining be. As we entered, it had the reg pub look I was used to. Knowing the layout that fine dining must be off to the side, I was pleasantly surprised. Wow! Way to step up that room. It was beautiful, comfortable seats, nice level of music. Really classy. Now Ashley was our amazing waitress. She was working the room like a champ. Took orders and brought drinks out quickly, good at suggestive selling. Beer was SO cold, yummy. I like the chilled class water bottles at each table as well. Settings are well thought out. I appreciate spacing out guests tables as well. The appetizers were delicious. Home made bread and fresh salads. Meals are served hot, plenty of it and even know i was so full, we shared a desert too. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back and referring this restaurant to others.

My mom and I wound up here for dinner after a random selection based on stars and a list of restaurants in Parry Sound while on a short roadtrip into North Bay for the day. Dineresque on the outside but warm and inviting with bold color and old school decor on the inside. A warm reception from the staff as soon as we walked in and were given the option of being seated either inside or outside on the deck. We chose the latter as we had just spent time around a number of people we didn't know and just wanted to be apart from the bustle. The service by our server Rhonda was excellent; She didnt hover or helicopter like many do and was a pleasant conversationalist. The menu was expansive, the food was delicious and when back in the space, I wouldn't hesitate to return to this eatery. The stars would be a five rating but the atmosphere on the deck could stand to be improved esthetically.

We have come here many times, and my biggest critique is consistency. Sometimes it's been fantastic, other times very disappointing and a completely different taste for the exact same menu items (perhaps differences with who is the chef?). I think what I see is that the business is trying to offer too much at once (Italian, Casual, Fine Dining, Asian, Catering...) instead of focusing on doing less but doing it well and consistently. I hope that they can figure it out because they are a good addition to the community and there is a lot of promise there. Here is a picture of the Italian Banana Split we got last time, and it was delicious and beautifully presented (our main course was another story, but hopefully better next time).

Me and my partner came here because we love Italian food and we decided to come for a long weekend to visit Parry Sound. We checked the reviews which were high. My partner order pickerel fish and I ordered duck. We were waiting 30 min for our dishes. Women who were sitting next to us returned the food, what I heard it was cold. I'm from the country where duck is one of the famous dish to eat. What I can say is that when I was served the food which was completely cold. I requested server to re-heat the food. A little of the duck and roasted potatoes were burned, which pictures shows...and there were no seasonal vegetables at all, maybe one italian celery....my dish wasn't tasty at all and gravy was too heavy. I will be honest and I have never eaten so bad food ... it is so hard to make duck not tasty at all. My food costs 36$ which was definitely overpriced comparing to the quality. My partner's food was quite ok but Marmellata di Limoni doesn't go with this fish and cost 32$....presentation of these dishes were amazing and taste just terrible...literally I have had heartburn and needed go to shoppers to buy a medicine...I am really upset because we really enjoy eating nice food and this wasn't worth this money. We ordered 3 drinks and we were scared to order some dessert...so we skip it.

Answer for the owner: Plates were not wiped...my partner left a lot of sauce, veggies and marmellata which wasn't tasty....For sure we will never come back here after this owner's answer and I won't recommend this place to anyone. For sure what you serve are not gourmet Italian food. What about these two woman who also returned the food? Do you have an answer? And I dont see any bad reviews in my account, I recommended places which are worth not this "restaurant". Btw stop using plastic straws as well and think about environment

I feel calling your restaurant authentic Italian is a joke . You are in the service industry rather than being humble and taking feedback from your clients you mock the feedback given to you . It won't be long that your restraunt will be shut down if you don't change that attitude . Secondly I feel instead of having an Italian fine dining restaurant you are better of opening a McDonalds. At least in that way they will make sure that your quality isn't pathetic and the food is warm for a change.

I found it's very funny that owner deleted his comment....he abused his clients and after my comment a lot of people had this same experience like me and put bad review too. Maybe finally he realized that his restaurant is worse than McDonald's where...

Went there for dinner with family 4 in total. Appetizers so so crab cakes and Escargot. Caesar - terrible - no flavor little dressing packaged croutons and small for the price. Server was very new- didn't know very much about the menu - requires more training. After we placed our food orders, the server came back to check what I had ordered, so I assume she didn't put one food order in - mine Three of the four people got their food one did not finally I said I didn't want my meal to just cancel my food order as the other people were already half way through their meal- the mood was gone. She finally did bring my meal but I did not want it as I told her before. We also had to ask our server for bread that she did not bring us. There was a group of 10 people at a table beside us they had asked to sit on the other side and were saying they had made a reservation for the fine dining side - the hostess just told them that was full and they will have to sit there, They had drinks and had ordered their meals - after one and half hours they did not have their meals - none of them - they just asked to pay for their drinks and left with no food. This whole time between our table and that large group - no manager appeared to apologize - never seen just the servers. I guess management decided to hang their staff out to dry. We had heard in the past from other servers at other establishments about how servers were treated when they first opened so we had avoided this place and now will again. Terrible terrible experience Finally when we are paying our bill, the server asks how was everything - I said I will be writing a review - she asks will be it a bad one - I said I will let you figure that out. Finally - first time through the whole meal she offers a sorry I know she was trying and she was new she just requires more training from management. Tough for a server to do their job when the kitchen cant deliver - the servers are the front line and need the support of management when things go wrong - no...

Since it was our first time here we decided to share all the items. That Caesar salad was so well dressed, every bite was perfect, especially because there was so damn much bacon! The real deal, are you kidding me, smoked, thick cut pieces of the most delicious bacon that I've had in a long, long time. Now, the Escargot. Not just a different presentation, but a whole new level! Elevated flavour profile with a sauce that had the Boss tipping the last of it into his mouth. I must admit that I reluctantly gave him two more escargots but the look on his face was worth it---bliss! ( I call it Job Security) The Chicken Parmigiana was huge! The tender white meat was light and crusty on the outside and juicy and flavourful on the inside--- with just the right amount of melted cheese. There's enough leftover for a sandwich for my lunch tomorrow! I wish I could have taken a whole loaf of their bread home...warm, crusty, yeasty goodness served with authentic olive oil and balsamic dip. I had the Homemade Pasta di Mare and made a spectacle of myself slurping the sauce out of the mussel and clam shells. Fancy, right? Every drop of the homemade tomato sauce is slurpable. Yes, I mean worthy of slurping. That good. Our Server was the icing on the cake. She knew her menu but more, she knew how to serve a beautiful meal. You could tell she was proud of the food she was serving because she gave us the space to enjoy it! She did not rush our courses but instead left us to fully mesh with our meal. I'm looking forward to coming back to try something else from the menu. I am 100% convinced that I will be amazed and delighted with anything that I order. It's a Home Run for me! Real fresh food seasoned delightfully and cooked to perfection. I'm telling my friends that come to the Festival of the Sound to come here for a fantastic meal to highlight their musical experiences. Please, come and enjoy...
