I came in to get a drink and breakfast right at 7am this morning. At one point, I tried to sit at the table after picking up my baby and I spilled a good amount of my coffee on the floor, table and chair. I made eye contact with the person at the counter. She was having a casual conversation with a customer - the customer had already been helped. There was only one other customer there - he was already eating. Instead of helping me clean up the spilled coffee, she watched me struggle to do it with napkins while holding my small baby. This was my third time at the coffee shop today. I have ASD and have been trying to get more social with places I’ve never been before. It’s a struggle when I’m not doing my usual "morning routine" before work, but on the first day I went out of my comfort zone and ordered a breakfast wrap and an iced mocha to go and ended up liking it very much! The second day, it was a vegetarian breakfast wrap and an iced latte, and today was the iced canadiano. They’re all very much worth trying and delicious!
