Town Dock — Restaurant in Penetanguishene

Very pretty harbour area. We actually came here as Google Maps highlighted something called the World Famous Dock Lunch, and we were hungry after being disappointed to find our original destination of Discovery Harbour was in fact completely closed (contrary to the online info). However, we wondered what could have caused the Dock Lunch to be famous, judging by it being deserted (despite being open) and it failing the "judge the standards by the state of the toilets" test. So, everything else being closed, we took some pictures...

World famous for all the wrong reasons... The service was inept at best. In 5 minutes my bestfriend and I thought up a dozen ways they could be more efficient. After a lengthy wait we got our food. 5/10 at best. Neither of us nor her kids wanted to finish their meal. I've had much worse experiences in my life, thst said I will never go back nor recommend. Too many better...

Amazing place with excellent views. Been coming here for the past 25 years before all the development started and it's amazing to have watched it all grow. Decent food nearby, great views, and not a bad slot to just walk around for a bit. Wide enough boat launch for 2 at a time and good facilities if your staying onboard for...
