Wouda's Bakery — Restaurant in Penticton

Service was friendly and they had a good selection of sandwiches and dessert. They also have a few tables to sit at. The desserts we got weren’t that great. They looked good but we thought they were quite bland and a bit dry. They also stop offering sandwiches after a certain time, I believe it’s at 3pm. On their “specialties” section on their drink menu, they have s’mores hot chocolate listed. I asked for that and the two people working didn’t seem to know what I was asking for and didn’t think they offered it. I pointed out that it was listed on their sign and one had to go to the back and ask another worker how to make it. Ok, so I love the products from this bakery and always buy my bread here. I hate to lodge a complaint but here it is anyways. I am hoping management comes up with a solution for the customers who just come in to buy baked goods. Today I waited over 15 minutes in a lineup that consisted of 4 people in front of me. They were all getting food from the cafe, so the cashier that serves them goes off and prepares their food, and only when the order is finally put together do they come back to the till to help the next customer. 15 minutes is a long time to wait just to purchase 2 loaves of bread. Perhaps having 1 or 2 clerks preparing the meals and not running the tills would help speed up the line. Hopefully this...

Ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. Paid for it, and was told to come back the next day after one o'clock to pick up the cake. We arrived at 1,45 and was told that she could not find the cake. Another staff member told us that it was not done.. I asked to speak to the manager who I had already being dealing with, she was very nice but in the end she suggested that we take some tarts and use that as a cake. . We have been getting cakes here for a lot of years, and it a long drive. They could of at least phoned me and saved me the trip.. Don't order your cake here if you really need it. My wife...
