Great food and average pricing. The fries are a must try. Two notes: One time my sandwich was crushed in the take out bag. We have had a few bad experiences with one worker during past visits. The worker is snappy and unhelpful. We went there for a birthday and asked about the deal of the day because we weren't close to the deal board to read it, and she dramatically swung her arm around and pointed at the faraway board. Instead of kindly answering as should be expected, she was rude. This made us feel bad for asking and we had to get up to go over to it when she was close enough to it just to tell us. This worker also made us uncomfortable during another occasion. We were trying to order food and the worker kept making comments like "it's a lot of food." It was like the worker didn't want us to order what we wanted and made us feel bad for the portions we wanted. My friend has had a similar experience with this worker which is unfortunate. As a service worker please be kind and attentive. Don't huff around like we are inconvenient. Nothing more awkward when it feels we are wrecking the worker's day for...

I have been to The Red Fox several times prior to Covid and always enjoyed my meals. In August of 2020 we had drinks and wings on the patio and the service was great and the wings delicious. I was at the Red Fox for lunch last week and as I have been here before I thought it would be good. I was sadly disappointed. They cook fresh turkey and serve what looks like a great hot turkey sandwich platter. But if you like Reubens I would suggest you don't order one here. While they say this is the way they have made their Reuben sandwiches for 40 years, what they serve you is not even close to a Reuben. It comes toasted with 3 ozs of meat and barely noticeable sauerkraut and mozzarrella cheese instead of swiss cheese and there is no russian dressing or 1000 island dressing. Our waiter was very nice and accomodating but I have to say we waited longer than expected for toasted sandwiches. I have defintely had better Reubens else where. We went tonight to celebrate my step fathers retirement! I had never been but my step dad, mother, step sister and her husband all said this place was great! If your looking for a place with great pub food, this is the place for you! Honestly, I live in Carleton place and will travel here! I had the honey hot wings with the Caesar salad! So yummy!
