Docker's Fish & Chip & Breakfast — Restaurant in Peterborough

Took my 93 year old Mother here on Tues. Aug. 31st at 9:20 a.m. We went inside and noticed that 2 tables were available. There was 3 of us altogether. When I asked where we could sit I was told there was no seating available even though we could see 2 tables empty and they were not marked as reserved or not useable. Not good business practises turning away paying customers after being closed down for so long during the pandemic. We were not even told to wait a minute until at least 2 tables were getting ready to leave. I will never return here and I know the rest of my family and friends will not darken this restaurant door either. Not good practise to turn away customers who go there at least 2 times a week. But one good thing about it we found a better restaurant that treated us like human beings and wanted our patronage. Too...

Was there for breakfast, and it was pretty good! Rating was closer to 4.5, but I rounded up!

Old time diner with no-nonsense decor and service. Price was really great, $14 for a full plate of food including coffee. I have no problem paying that, day in, day out.

The home fries were some of the best I have had! Eggs could use a little seasoning, but that might be a personal preference. Sausages, ham and bacon were all very good.

The fish and chips look really fantastic, I would like to revisit to try them out, since this is what they have on the sign out front!

Definitely worth checking out to get some great breakfast and some even better...

When posting a review I try to be fair and as impartial as possible and this fish and chip place has exceeded my expectations compared to other local fish and chip places in the Peterborough area.

I have yet to be disappointed when I order the halibut and chips because the halibut is not greasy and does not leave the film on the top of your mouth like some places do and the fries are home cut and just cooked right so that they are not dry. They also asked if I want gravy or coleslaw which is a nice extra to the meal.
