We were 4 adults 3 kids . This place has a huge dine in and well placed that people are not close to each other which is great .. service is amazingle fast and accurate. We ordered chapli dinner, sultani dinner, chicken kafta dinner which comes with 1 chicken tikka boti and 1 chicken kafta and tandoori dinner. The taste isnt the same as i remembered from their East York location but the quantity seemed even better. Rice didnt have the flavor and seemed pretty blend .. they should atleast put some sort of spice and salt like other afghan places. Overall its a good place to have family dinner . The everage person you can expect is $15 .. they do have amazing milk Tea in ginger, cardamom and masala flavor and you can even mox ginger and cardamom or make your own combination. Tea is machine made but still tasted great .. it jas a self service and you will have to make couple of trips if you are more than 1 person to get the food to your table so bigger party should sit near the serving counter. They have a huge parking lot with accessible parking but entrance is not accessible. High chairs are also available as well as theres a washroom. Please like my review if it helped and follow for more reviews. Thank you!

Our family has been going to this location since its inception. However the quality and customer service of restaurant has significantly deteriorated. In my visit yesterday, I initially received burned naans as part of my order. I politely asked it to be changed. They came back and gave me yesterday old stale naan. I politely asked one of the employee working in the register if fresh naan are just not available. Again, they came back with heated stale naan. Moments later the cash register lady came by to apologize and admitted the owner at the back yelled at her because she told them your ripping off customer. As I was leaving, I went to confront the manager working. He refused to acknowledge his mistake and said this is standard practice in restaurant industry and then went on to insult my physical appearance for having white hair. He then went on to say hope you enjoyed your stale naans for the meal.Posting picture of the manager in question who claimed to be the “owner” If your the “owner”and dont have the decency to serve fresh food to customers. At least have the desceny to be respectful to your employees who did nothing wrong but call out your conduct.

I recently dined at Bamiyan Kabob with a group of 8 people, and despite a couple of hiccups, we had an overall positive experience. The food was undeniably delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. We particularly enjoyed the flavorful kabobs and the variety of side dishes that were served. However, our dining experience was slightly marred by the lack of air conditioning in the restaurant. After a dance practice outdoors in 30-degree weather, walking into a warm dining area was not the most comfortable experience for our group. We felt compelled to place our order and dine in quickly to get back to our activities, which was a bit disappointing. I truly hope that the management team takes note of this feedback and considers improving the ventilation or cooling system in the restaurant to provide a more comfortable environment for their customers, especially during hot weather. With a few adjustments, Bamiyan Kabob could easily become a five-star dining destination. Overall, I would recommend Bamiyan Kabob for its delicious Afghan cuisine and friendly service, but I do hope to see improvements in the dining environment in the future.

Upon entering Bamiyan Kabob, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that sets the tone for a pleasant meal. The restaurant's decor subtly echoes Afghan influences, creating an inviting atmosphere for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering kabobs, each offering a burst of flavor that leaves a lasting impression. From the tender and succulent chicken kabobs to the savory and perfectly seasoned beef varieties, the dishes truly exemplify Afghan cuisine's essence.

For vegetarians, Bamiyan Kabob doesn't disappoint either. Their vegetable kabobs are a delightful blend of fresh produce and aromatic spices, catering to diverse palates.

One cannot miss the signature dish, the Bamiyan Combo Platter. A feast for both the eyes and taste buds, it presents an assortment of kabobs alongside fragrant rice and flavorful side dishes, showcasing the chef's mastery in culinary artistry.

The traditional Afghan bread, freshly baked in-house, deserves a special mention. Its warm, pillowy texture and distinct flavor complement the main courses impeccably, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The restaurant's attentive staff is always ready to assist, making sure your meal is enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Afghan cuisine or trying it for the first time, the servers are happy to offer recommendations and provide insight into the dishes' cultural significance.

To complete the dining journey, don't forget to indulge in their delectable desserts. The Afghan sweets, rich in taste and history, provide a sweet finale to an already memorable meal.

On downfall that I had was all the baby seats were broken and was a safety hazard because baby’s could fall out.

Overall, Bamiyan Kabob in Pickering is a delightful destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Afghan flavors. From the warm ambiance to the mouthwatering kabobs and attentive service, this restaurant is a true culinary gem that leaves visitors with a satisfied palate and a desire to...

I have been coming to this place from Oshawa for many years. Table service is very poor. My wife once went to ask them to clean table, they handed her cleaning materials to do it herself. Always have come here because of good food ONLY not service, up until today. Today I reached with my family at 9:38pm, like 8 minutes after when their policy kicks in for dine in. They refused to take my dine in order and were preparing food for already placed orders which were 8 mins before me for like 5-6 families not just 5-6 ppl. The guy working at the kitchen (owner) was asked for me to take my dine in order, which he straight up refused giving a non-logical and lame excuse for not taking my order. He said by the time my order will be served, it will pass 10pm which is their closing time so NO. It’s not that the families whose food didn’t arrive yet, will arrive in 20mins and they will finish eating before 10pm otherwise they will be kicked out. If not, then why not take my order, as the families dining in before me can even take longer then me to finish eating food and even be served very close to 10pm for their food order isn’t it , as this was the lame excuse the owner was trying to make by not taking my order. I was not alone but had come with my family from far away, no respect or courtesy was shown whatsoever. This was a sorry attempt for an excuse by staff and owner. The worse thing is after I decided not to dine in as they said take out option available only. I decided to opt for Take Out only knowing that they don’t have any rice left to serve. Why have a policy in effect when there is no rice left. Either closed taking orders and straight up refuse or just accept orders. Pass 9:30pm I figured they were trying to sell their left over food and trust me their take out order have had many complaints as the food quality gets greatly compromised. Moreover when a customer speaks to the owner, if it comes to this, he should be flexible and show respect towards customers, not be rude and talk over them. Terrible and very bad experience today as this changes everything. For those who still come here, owner or the eatery don’t value you or you being loyal to them. They just want your money and wait till they become disrespectful and rude to you then you all might...

  • VERY SERIOUS REVIEW *

The amount of complaints for a restaurant this new in our town is ridiculous and requires emergency considerations to have a successful future. 3⭐ google rating is Unacceptable, Embarrassing and nothing to be proud of for a place of this calibre and potential.

I love this place, the meat is seasoned Perfectly but its self destructing fast and heres why .

  1. This is a bbq Meat establishment with many concerns from the community

  2. It starts from The Owners. They are the "chefs" in the kitchen most of the time + a few random hires off the street and guess what? None of them understand how to BBQ Meat properly. I can guarantee none of them have any cooking or chef certifications what so ever. Meat is always Overcooked or Undercooked . If you got an order that was cooked right count your blessings because it wasnt intentionally made .

  3. There should be a certified cullinary chef in the kitchen at all times. If the owners CANT lead a good example, how do you expect random people u hire off the street to do better ?

  4. Please use meat thermometers / timers, develope some system to produce consistent results

  5. A wealthy family has apppointed their spoiled careless kids to run this establishment as a hobby with a total who gives a fluke attitude.

The results are obvious from their lack of consistency with orders not meeting expectations , communication, professionalism and very careless approach toward the restaurant game. 3⭐

Im not here to pursuade anybody, you can read the reviews yourself then go try the restaurant and in no more than 1 or 2 visits you will be on this review list right next to all of us lol ..

quick fix : HIRE A PRO CHEF or Owners Seek professional training on BBQ ing meats to produce perfect results each and every single time ! NO compromise .

This restaurant should be 4.8 / 4.9 stars from thousands of reviewers and packed in house with people 7 days a week because their food is seasoned properly, YOU JUST CANT COOK fellas. The experience here should not be a hit or missed. you have to produce business level results off the line each and every plate ! no excuses

Very Disappointed .

hoping for changes or like many who already have, I will say bye...
