The Volcano Cafe & Lounge — Restaurant in Pickering

Showed up here on opening day. And I give this place 5+ stars. From seating to decor to environment and atmosphere. It's a superb location.

Atmosphere: Hats off to the owners for choosing a location where you don't feel like you've walked into a dungeon. Nicely lit with a dark theme throughout the establishment. Comfortable chairs and sofas for a welcoming environment. Good for an intimate date or a casual get together with friends.

Food: Extensive menu with appetizers, main courses and desserts.

Beverages: A wide selection of hot and cold drinks. Pretty much anything you want they have.

Desserts: A huge selection of crepes, waffles, cakes, pies and sundaes. Also a welcome addition is ice cream toppings. It truly is an awesome menu.

Shisha: Very decent prices on the shisha menu. With many of your standard flavors but the Volcano Mix is amazing. With a house mix of flavors I truly enjoyed it.

Final verdict: Volcano has captured a very interesting market. Where this location can be your one stop for dinner desserts and a very good chill session afterwards. I left from here very happy and satisfied. Volcano has definitely won me over and will be a staple location for myself, my family...

Great food and great shisha. I found out about this place a short while ago and have now visited 4 times. Unfortunately, every time I have visit we are either left waiting to order, the waitress forgets something, or they just never decide to return and check up on us. The service here is the worst I’ve ever received anywhere.

I was seated today and the waitress left us for over 20 minutes before she even bothered to ask us what we’d like to order. We stayed patient and ordered our desert and shisha, but in the end we were never served our shisha. We just wanted to come in for a short visit tonight and we were really looking forward to those two things. Even after we finished our desert, the waitress never came back to check up on us even though the place was not busy! We were eventually fed up and walked to the front desk to pay for our dessert.

Every Monday I'm out with my family delivering the Durham region and we search for a good restaurant to dine in. We searched on Google and found the name of the place very interesting. We did call them to ask if they have a place for family dining as they had Shisha on the menu and they mentioned that patio is the only option and we said ok, even though it was 15degrees outside and misty. We arrived and the staff was very accommodative and she made us feel comfortable. The food menu had to be scanned on the phone and it was good. The food was really tasty. My kids loved it. The best part was the dessert. I ordered a chocolate cheesecake and it was very well presented on a big plate. And the taste was just amazing. All of us pounced on to it immediately. Small place, good food, only flaw is that inside it was completely smoked with Shisha and you got hold your breath on your way to use the washroom, if you are a non smoker.
