Came here to celebrate my birthday this past weekend and we were very disappointed with the service. Food was amazing and I knew that prior as I’ve gotten takeout before hence why I chose this place. However the service? Horrible. The manager Shawn, very disrespectful, with a condescending tone and no care for how you as the customer are feeling. Very rushed when speaking and no attempt to resolve anything just wants to hear his own voice.
Backstory: I called to make a reservation which they then instructed me to do come in person to see where I’d like to be seated (dining, indoor patio area, upstairs, etc.) I took the 45 minute drive, chose where I wanted and solidified the reservation the following day (asked to be seated on the enclosed patio on the left side where the dj is, so we can hear the music more). Fast forward to day of, called in to update the amount of ppl attending and something told me to confirm we had a table in the right spot.. spoiler alert.. we didn’t. I asked to speak to a manager as the reservation was in less than 4 hours in which I was transferred a to a lady who said she actually took my reservation and says I asked to sit beside the dj which was false. I asked to be in the enclosed patio that I viewed on the same SIDE as the dj. Not beside the dj. Cool it was a misunderstanding she didn’t even give it a second or give me a warning before placing me on hold and transfer it me to someone else. Now I’m trying to see what can be done as i don’t want my group of 15 + photographer to be in the middle of the restaurant when i asked for a more secluded room. Mr. Shawn now comes on the phone rushing me off almost immediately and after a little back and forth and cutting me off numerous time says either I come and sit where they put me because I never had the option to choose my seating anyway (another false thing as that was the entire point of me doing the walk-though) or I don’t and stay home.. and then proceeds to hang up on me.. ??at this point I’m angry and very disappointed. As I was calling everyone and attempting to cancel because at this point I didn’t want to give them my service I received a call back from them saying they can put me where I asked originally if we come an hour later than my initial reservation of 9pm. Still irritated I agreed because it was my birthday and my guest already made their way to the city/got ready. We all arrived between 10/10:30.. surprise surprise.. table still not ready. And wasn’t ready until minutes before 12 (my birthday) !!! 14 ladies sat disappointed as we waited with no form of apology or anyone offering anything for the inconvenience. Read moreThis was my first time dining at this establishment. It was for a birthday celebration. It was a Saturday evening. I make my reservations weeks ago. The place was busy. It was mentioned that they are short staffed. I am not sure if I would return. The experience didn’t leave a good impression. Slow service Had to ask several times for the tables to be cleared to make room for the other dishes, Had to flag down other waiter/ waitresses to attend us as could not locate our waitress. At one point one of my guest helped the staff cleared the table. There was so much platters and plates cluttering the table. More food is brought out and the table is not being cleared. Ordered our last platter and it took over 30mins by then it had to get packed to go.
Was told that we had to finish up our party because the room was needed in the next 30mins- waitress disappeared. Guests waiting for their respective bills for a long time
Had to ask several times who and where our server was as they had not come to greet nor attend to the table. Had to ask for water for the table multiple times
Placed order for drinks - tremendous wait time and only half the table got their drinks. The drinks were inconsistent. Some was strong while others was like juice. I was told the rum punch was really good. It wasn’t it. It was like a fruit juice with no rum to be found in it. We waited up until an hour for pop. The guest of honor had to wait for his drink. He got special attention and served more timely manner.
Ordered 2 desserts to go (crème brûlée & sticky toffee pudding)long wait times and no follow up as to the status of the order - had to follow up. Was told by staff that the order was “mistakenly given away” and the kitchen was preparing another one. Sticky toffee dessert came out along with ice cream but no creme brûlée, waitress said it would be out shortly. Upon preparing to depart, realizing still haven’t gotten the Creme Brûlée, went to the “manager” and was told that it was sold out - Offered to replace it with any dessert of choice
Pros: Manager stepped up and offered quick service - taking food orders, checking in to ensure things were okay, bringing extra utensils, rectifying the desert mishap.

Read moreI recently organized a dinner party for 16 here and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing and embarrassing.
Firstly, despite booking in advance the restaurant failed to manage our 2 hour time slot effectively. We were initially seated comfortably, but halfway through our meal, we were abruptly moved to an unprepared area, with insufficient seating and a missing table for 5 of our guests!! This disruption was unacceptable, especially for a party of our size.
To add insult to injury, the so-called manager on duty displayed shocking rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience caused by their mismanagement, they had the audacity to blame our frustration on two guests who arrived a mere 15 minutes late. Meanwhile, we waited an excruciating 30 minutes for our meals after being relocated and an additional 40 minutes just to receive the bill in the end.
Moreover, the quality of the food left much to be desired. Several members of our party ordered steaks cooked to specific preferences, yet the kitchen failed to deliver on these simple requests. The steaks arrived either overcooked or undercooked.
As if these issues weren’t enough, the financial aspect of our visit was equally disappointing. Despite the numerous mishaps, only 25% of our bill was comped as a form of apology, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant imposed a "mandatory" 18% gratuity, so basically 7% off really.
The only redeeming factor throughout this ordeal was our server, Tracy, who seemed genuinely embarrassed by the chaos around her. She did her best to salvage the situation with attentive service, but even her efforts couldn’t compensate for the overall incompetence and disarray we experienced.
In conclusion, my husband's surprise party turned into a chaotic and disappointing affair thanks to the abysmal management, unprofessional behavior of the manager, poor food quality, and inadequate compensation for the numerous inconveniences we endured.
