Great food and great service! The couple that own this restaurant really care about their business and customers. They gladly accept feedback as well to ensure their customers are happy. Prices are good, portions are very generous, the food is fresh and very tasty. Bang for the buck! For those who like to see their food cooked in front of them there is also a window in front of the grill. The food doesn't have MSG, so you can look forward to real food here that will leave your stomach very happy and full.

The meals come with: Fried rice/ steamed rice, zucchini, onion, carrot, a choice of miso soup or salad, and of course your choice of protein(s) or mixed vegetables (also a side teriyaki sauce, hot sauce, and *yum-yum sauce made in-house.) There is also a Yakisoba noodle option at the back of the menu and as far as I can tell it is $0.25 more for the noodles (except the mixed veg. yakisoba is $0.75 more for some reason.) They do also offer half and half of their rice and noodles if it is your preference.

My favourite dishes so far have to be their steak & shrimp, and grilled squid. Definitely recommend trying the grilled squid! The appetizers are well priced and make for a great side to a family meal or a good snack on their own.

The restaurant is a little bit tight for space, but there is definitely room to dine-in. Last time I checked they only have styrofoam plates for dining in. I know this is something other people have minorly critiqued before so maybe that has changed. They also have free wifi, and condiments such as soy sauce and sriracha for you to use. All-in-all, I would highly recommend giving Hibachi Grill a try, you won't be...

My son came home with takeout from Hibachi, saying one of his friends recommended it. It looked so good (of course I taste tested it) and tasted good, I told hubby let's take the drive to Pickering and skip cooking tonight. We arrived, lady at counter was super friendly! We asked if she minded if we ate there, she said "NP"! They have a few tables and chairs very basic, but its more of a take out place. Food preparation was really quick and the portions huge! I got the chicken/beef mix with steam rice/veggies and hubby, chicken and shrimp, fried rice/veggies. We also got cheese wontons 2 drinks. Bill was $45. Very affordable. Came with 2 sauces (yum yum sauce was so good) and you can choose spicy or non spicy chicken. We got the spicy and on a level of spice it was about a 5 just enough kick and very flavourful. We ate every bite! It was also very busy with take out orders which is a great sign. Definitely will go back! My son also said it was so good! (He ate everything to). Love there little places that really give you value for your money and still tastes good! Again...

Good food and taste for the money. The yum yum sauce wasn't bad, but as a person who isn't fond of mayo-based condiments, I thought the hot sauce was the tastiest. I ordered squid on rice with a spring roll and vegetables. I would've liked a bit more vegetables in place of some of the rice just for better balance. The person at the front was super friendly and when I informed him it was my first time visiting he gave me a run down of the menu. I wasn't expecting such good customer service at a small East Asian take-out spot. I'll return (I love squid).

I returned and edited my review to 5 stars! More vegetables happened to be included this time. Does the food in that photo look delicious? It sure was (grilled squid on yakisoba)! My friend and I tried Doordash with Azumi Sushi near Lawrence and Kingston Road and the whole time we ate I was wishing we went to Hibachi Grill. Also, chef is pleasant and friendly as always. Go to Hibachi Grill if you want to experience...

Yes yes and yes! This place has AMAZING food for great price and huge portions. Forgot to mention their homemade sauces UGH YUM!!! Will definitely come back again next week..and the week after...and the week after that. ALSO! The guy who works their is SO NICE! Gives amazing service! Barely see places like this nowadays. UPDATE: (March 2020) The friendliest family-owned business out there. My boyfriend and I haven’t had their food in awhile so today we decided to drop by for lunch and they greeted us like we just saw them days ago♥️ the owner/chef greeted us as well and remembered our usual order - I even forgot what it was haha! (#37 - short ribs) Their food is amazing, portions are big for the little price you pay for. UPDATE: (June 2023) Their food don’t miss👌🏻 even after months of not coming here (we live far) the owners ALWAYS ALWAYS remember us. Very down to earth, nice people. Food quality did not change = still so good.

I’ve heard good things about this restaurant and personally I believe there is room to improve, however, I was not impressed overall with the value and taste of food I got. The restaurant itself is plainly decorated; not for fancier occasions but decent enough to stop to have a bite. Decor could be improved. In terms of menu and food, there is a decent amount of variety, which is nice, and there are unique options I have never encountered before, so that was encouraging. However, the food tasted plain (not extravagant like how it was described) and in contrast to other Japanese foods, I don’t think the dishes here would compete very well. Also, the dishes were grossly overpriced, and although the quantity was plentiful, it was bogged with fillers such as vegetables and did not feel like it’s worth for $12-16 dishes. Could be improved, but I probably would not go again.
