I am in awe of how the staff at this place treated us. We were attending an event and were told in an email provided by the company themselves that anyone under the age of 19 was aloud on the patio until 9pm. We went to order food and I myself being legal was aloud to order food but my cousin who wasn’t legal wasn’t aloud. Yes she wasn’t aloud to order food because she wasn’t 19. The staff then argued with me about how their “rules” were no one under the age of 19 could order. I explained to them that I had talked with our event coordinator and she had previously exchanged emails with a staff member saying that people under 19 were aloud on the patio until 9pm. I then explained this situation to the even coordinator who then spoke with a male staff member who I assumed must be the manager or head server. She provided the email where it says my cousin could be there and he then called the staff member who sent the email and said that she was wrong and then my cousin needed to go. This is where I lose all respect for this place. My cousin wanted me to stay and partake in our event so she called herself to get a ride. About 15 minutes later while she’s sitting with us waiting for her ride the male staff member comes over and starts harassing an 18 year old girl telling her to leave the premises immediately. My cousin is completely distraught and explained that her ride was coming and he told her he didn’t care. The conversation became public to others and another woman said “do you want her to stand on the sidewalk?!” And he said “yes.” We were abiding by all the companies “policies” and “rules” that they themselves had provided but the fact that a grown man came and start yelling and harassing an 18 year old girl to leave the premises immediately baffles me. What also shocked me is I wasn’t aloud to be her legal guardian as I am legal because as this gentleman states “we don’t have the same last name.” Not sure if he lives under a rock because nowadays many families have step kids who don’t have the same last name as them. I seriously encourage the owner to have a sit down with their employees on what their “policies” and “rules” are and especially about respect because this...
Read moreFoamers Folly Brewing is a craft brewery located in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, known for its diverse range of high-quality beers. One of their noteworthy offerings is the Vienna Lager, and it's fantastic that they created a Mother's Day special featuring this style.
A Vienna Lager is a traditional beer style that originated in Vienna, Austria, during the 19th century. It is characterized by its amber to reddish-brown color, moderate maltiness, and a balanced hop presence. This style typically showcases a rich, toasty malt profile with a clean, crisp finish.
Foamers Folly's Vienna Lager, with its 18 IBU (International Bitterness Units) and 5% alcohol content, falls within the parameters of a classic Vienna Lager. The 18 IBU suggests a moderate level of bitterness, which complements the malty backbone without overpowering it. This balance allows for a smooth and enjoyable drinking experience.
In terms of flavor, expect a Vienna Lager to exhibit notes of toasted bread, caramel, and a hint of sweetness. The malt-forward character of this beer style provides a pleasant and slightly nutty taste, while the noble hops lend a delicate, herbal or spicy aroma.
The 5% alcohol content is within the moderate range, making it a versatile beer suitable for various occasions. Whether you're enjoying it on a warm spring day or pairing it with a delicious meal, the Foamers Folly Vienna Lager offers a refreshing and flavorful experience.
Overall, Foamers Folly Brewing's Vienna Lager, with its 18 IBU and 5% ABV, promises to deliver a well-balanced and delightful beer. It's a great choice for both enthusiasts of traditional beer styles and those seeking a flavorful yet...
Read morePatio is petfriendly with doggy bowls out so that's great ! They also have flights which is super fun and the vibe there is awesome. BUT They need WAY more parking and WAY more outdoor seating. Seating in general really but definitely outdoor seating for summer. This place was super busy and from what I'm told it's always like that. While we were there I counted at LEAST 6 potential tables that showed up and immediately turned and left as there were no seats during only the short hour we were there. Their business looks like it used to be a corner lot mechanics shop. It fits MAYBE 5 cars on the property, anymore than that has to be parked elsewhere in the neighborhood. Their patios also don't hold that many tables. Enough for a slow business but for somewhere like this it should probably be like double the size. Where we were seated was a covered patio area and there were probably only like 6 tables and that sounds like a lot maybe but on a nice day middle of the day those fill up obnoxiously fast. There are a handful of tables inside but it seemed mostly like families with kids sitting in there and there were not that many tables. And there was another patio section as well that it looks like they added on afterward which wasn't covered but also just a handful of tables. It was a great experience overall but from a business standpoint and a customer standpoint they straight up just do not have enough seating for how popular this place clearly...
