McDonald's — Restaurant in Pitt Meadows

I have visited this location quite a few times in the past because my mother lives near by, however my last 3 visits between June and July 2023 have been very disappointing so much so I do not wish to ever visit this location again, let alone spend my hard earned money on food and drink that have been 100% unacceptable. On 2 occasions I purchased your Mc Crispy chicken sandwich and a coffee. The sandwich was overdone the chicken was dry and burnt around the edges and hard to swallow without having a drink to wash it down. The coffee was ok Not Great! OK I get it, It was maybe just a one off, and I always give places a 2nd chance before writing them off, and so I returned about 6 weeks later and had the McChicken Sandwich again. No luck, still dry, overdone and burnt including the bun it was served on, and this time I had fries with it;. Not a good plan, they were also overcooked cold and hard and tasted like they were reheated in the microwave. I tossed most of it in the garbage, (by the way I hate to throw out food) and I am not usually a complainer but there is something seriously wrong at this location and perhaps it would be a good idea to take a look at the manager managing the staff and ensuring that the food and drink is worthy of being served. This morning I went to the drive through for a coffee which took 16 minutes. I was the 2nd car in line there was a car in front of me and one beside me in the other lane. I waited at least 8 minutes before the staff member asked for my order and then another 8 minutes before I was able to pay and leave the drive through. I ordered an extra large coffee with 2 cream I got an extra large alright but there was more cream in it then coffee. It was almost the same color as milk. I took the coffee home, made my own. Then I mixed it with the coffee I brought home and I actually got an additional 3 1/2 large cups of coffee out of it and it was still a little too white for my liking. WOW WOW WOW! Unbelievable. I thought I would be safe ordering just a coffee but not the case. I love McDonalds Coffee but not at this location. Never again, If I go to McDonalds for my coffee it will be at the location near my home in PoCo. I go to different McDonalds stores depending on where I am and I have never ever gone to any store that was a disappointing as this location in Pitt Meadows. That was a total of $30.00 bucks wasted that I could have bought food for the food bank with.

I came to this location a couple weeks ago around 6:30pm. It was quite busy, so when we pulled up the employee asked us to wait at the designated waiting area (spot #2 as someone was already in spot #1). We pulled up, car in front of us got their food and left. We moved up, as we did another car pulled up and instead of going behind us, she went in front of us. Employee came out with food and took it to car in front of us. Lady in the car received the bag and was going through it to see if their order was correct. We watched her go through the bag. Turns out, it wasn't hers. Employee took the bag back from the lady, walked over to us, and read out the order, of course it was ours. We wanted to confirm if lady in the car in front of us touched the food, employee said yes. We obviously did not want it, employee told us that she would bring it back inside and make us a new order. My signification other went in 20 seconds after the employee went inside because we wanted to make sure that we got our correct order. As my significant other was still inside waiting, a different employee came out and gave me my order. It was less than 5 minutes from when the previous employee took the bag and brought it in. I pulled out of the waiting area and parked because the employee had asked me to. I went inside and told my significant other that I received the food. He told me to bring it back in as they had only switched the bags. He heard the manager tell the employees to put the food that was brought in and that was touched by someone else into a new bag. I went to my car, grabbed the Mcdonald's bag that was given to me and brought it inside. However, when I did, I was asked to throw it away. Really? Employees couldn't even throw it away to make us a new order but instead had food that someone already touched placed in a new bag? I called later to speak the manager, she said it was super busy when we came and only she offered me free 3 meals. Uh no, we could have gotten covid due to improper handling. We would have been okay waiting for our new order. We're in a middle of pandemic, it's disgusting that people would do that. How hard was it to throw away the old order and make a new one? Completely unprepared, unprofessional, the children and believe me I use that term loosely, stood by and did nothing.

One of the "workers" keep erasing orders before even getting to the orders. There were no less than 6 unclaimed drink orders including 2 what was supposed to be hot coffees now cold, because numbers were never claimed or called. Several people ahead of me had been waiting 20-30 minutes for their order and one gentleman still hadn't recieved a thing: three happy meals.

A number of people behind the counter were not in uniform and were more concerned about talking about their lives and standing with their hands in their pockets or hugging or even better complaining that their co-workers 'dipped' out.

It took 10 or so minutes for someone to even take my order and even then I was rudely almost over charged, then I was told they didn't have my drink and when I asked if I wanted strawberry banana, I ended up finding out that they put mango-pinapple mix in it (of which I am allergic too, and I had a mild reaction and gave the drink to my boyfriend).

I am unimpressed with the location, the staff, and it seemed like that manager if there was one there NO desire to be a manager that day and lead.

The team that day when I went in around 1pm should be fired, replaced, new management staff and to get that location back in line. If the people there don't want to work and think it's a free ride and they can have the huge line ups inside for food and the drive through from what my boyfriend told me being as equally bad.
