Sadly, a very disappointing experience. What started as a fun welcome-home brunch for my son soured as the clock slowly ticked and ticked with our food nowhere to be found.
We sat down at 11:04, and by the time our food arrived it was 12:20. SEVENTY-FIVE MINUTES to get our food!!!
My wife’s smoothie was juice, had to add ice cubes twice to our orange juices as we waited and waited . We are sure the harried waitress forgot to put in our order? How else could two tables after us get served earlier?
The waitress told us twice (at least) that they “ ... we’re short staffed” as she filled (splashed) water glasses and rushed a half-cup coffee refill... If it was up to me we would have gotten up and left at 40 minutes but my daa asking was hungry. So we waited. Once food arrived, we had lost mood/appetite and ate, but it’s hard to enjoy food when you’re upset... I normally finish off my “Sunshine” but not this time.
Afterwards I complained calmly with the waiter/manager who listened and offered an apology. He went on to explain how they only had one cook and the restaurant can’t seem to find bodies to work... and how he wished he could do more than that but couldn’t...
Not sure what else I expected him to say, I just repeated (too calmly perhaps) how we often eat there but never have to wait like that...perhaps I should have lost my temper but remained respectful as I simply wanted to express our displeasure.
My daughter who works in serving industry as well, tried to be understanding but admitted our waitress was borderline rude and yes, sloppy in her service... Please do something so that this type of disappointing experience doesn’t happen again.

Read moreEver since the pandemic, this Allô Mon Coco has gotten worse and worse whether you go eat in place, take out or order Uber Eats. I understand they are lacking staffs, yet so is everywhere I companies, restaurants, movie theatres. However, cooks do not read the allergy instructions!!! Do not order via Uber Eats, expensive for the quantity you are getting for especially the potatoes, come burnt, left overs, and again allergy they don't care. Manager said order next time elsewhere because we are short of staff and busy. So we went back for pick up so at least we can check our containers on the spot waiter was not happy and rude we did that, to find out their traditional potatoes was barely nothing. I showed it to the chef and he even stated that this was not acceptable. It was a beautiful weather and their Terrasse was closed at 12:30pm because all tables were dirty with their previous plates and dishes. And my final favourite, the waiter who took our order not only was he dry and rude, I was with my significant other, who is from Senegal (black) and he had the audacity to say not ask I suppose 2 bills!!!!!!! Never in 5 have we been asked that ignorant question including high end restaurants!!! They just don't care about their jobs, sin é these employees are controlling the restaurant since they lack staffs. Owner/manager needs his staffs more than the staffs need him after pandemic and us customers are being treated...
Read moreWent for breakfast, resto was empty, my friend and I waited 30mins for a cold latte and a hot juice that had a sour taste to it, so already we did not drink the coffee or juice. Got our food like almost an hour later potatoes were cold and had had so much salt it was like I was eating salt with a side of potatoes, gross.my friend and I both found a few,at least 5 pieces of big egg shell in our eggs.I called the waiter took 10 mins because there were just playing on their phones. Showed them our food, asked me if I wanted a new plate. I said no because I already choked on the shell, and lost our appetite with the salt they gave me with a side of patatoes and they offered another coffee and juice o said no, that I was very upset and would like our bill so we could go find another resto to have brunch at. When I got my bill I was actually charged me my cold coffee and sour and hot juice that we did not drink as well was shocked we were charged for our disgusting patatoes and eggs with lots of shell pieces in it.(and I choked on a piece of shell, we also had no water at the table so had to take a sip of hot and sour juice) Was shocked that they charged me and shocked that the waiter did not go get the manager to talk to me or at the very least come over to apologize. Stay away from this place not worth the wait and the price for this horrible...
