Well I finally tried this place. It's located in Fairview where you old Sears used to be. This place is really good. My son and I went there to try the place out last Saturday night and it was really really good. He had the tartar to start with. I had the calamari. We both had a drink. I had a rum and coke. He had a gin tonic, they had Hendrick's gin. We were seated the at a small table behind the bar or next to the bar. I would have preferred a dining room table but that's where they sat us so we didn't make a fuss and ate there. Anyways it was amazing. The food was spectacular. My son had a half of an octopus on top of a Greek salad. I had the lamb chops with the garlic mash. We both had dessert. My son had to pecan pie that comes with ice cream and warmed up. It was phenomenal. I had the maple cheesecake which was dry and sucked. I wear waitress. Christina gave us phenomenal service. She was always attentive. If anything was missing. She was polite. She was pleasant. Made the whole experience worthwhile. The atmosphere in general is a really great. It's a nice luxury setting and the perfect place for a sun and father to go eat a supper like we did. You can partially see my handsome son on one of the pictures I posted but don't go crazy girls he's taken he has a girlfriend named Rosalie. So if you're into seafood, this is really the place to go. I can't say it's expensive or cheap but I can tell you the quality is there as far as food and service. I don't know about the other waiters. I'm assuming they're very good but all we're waitress. Christina was really really polite and really helpful. So if you want to try and ask to sit in her section you won't regret it. She is phenomenal. I also asked her if I could post her name on my comment which she agreed to. But all in all if you want to go eat at a great restaurant, Lucille is the place to go. This one is in Fairview but I know they have other locations the specific location is on the corner of St. John's boulevard and Auto route 40. It's in the Fairview Mall on the westernmost part of the mall take a look at the pictures we posted. Hopefully it brings justice to the food we had there because it was really amazing. So don't hesitate if you're looking for a place to go. They have steak. They have seafood. They have pasta. They have everything you want to go eat there so don't hesitate get up. Go eat! Fairview shopping center really a place to go try. You won't regret. It just don't have the maple cheesecake. It's like a block of Kleenex when you eat it. But on the other hand, my son's pecan pie was superb on this note, just like to say that I've tried a lot of restaurants. My son goes to at least two restaurants a week and tries all kinds of places and we both agree that Lucille's is fantabulous. I can't wait to go back there. The ambiance the service and the amazing food will make you feel the same way and want to go back. It's really that good. You don't know where to go eat. Look no further. I'm not joking. This is a really the place nobody's paying me nothing to say this but my son and I both freaked out on how great this is and let's not forget Christina gave us amazing service on top of being very pretty. All right guys. So lastly, don't forget Fairview Mall St. John's boulevard and Auto route 40. The dress code is normal casual dressy. We were dressed up a little bit and we blend right in there so you don't know where to eat? Stop asking yourself. Lucille's is the place to go. Look them up get their phone number. We had reservations but I'm sure you could probably just show up and they'll help you out. But whatever happens the food is phenomenal so you can't go wrong. Get up, go try it. Stop hesitating just do it. It won't regret it. This is a really good place. Really good food. Really great service so no reason to stay...
Read moreI dined here on Saturday August 24th at 5PM. We were a party of four and had a great time. I ate at the Brossard location a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed, however this time it was a real game changer.
The restaurant was pretty empty at that time, I prefer eating early since I dislike crowds and enjoy a more quiet atmosphere. If you don't have a reservation you can easily find a table before 6PM. We were greeted right away, service was prompt and friendly. Our group tried two types of appetizers, the fried calamari and kentucky style fried chicken. Both were delicious, fresh, left us wanting more. I found the portion was pretty small compared to the price, for $19 the calamari was just enough for 2 people, not meant to share with a whole table unless you only get 1 or 2 bites each.
Our main meals were 3 different types of steak, one opted for a large rib eye, a new york strip and filet mignon, and one person had the salmon. We upgraded sides to the cheesy mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. In all we were very impressed with the food, the flavor, cook and portions for the main meals were excellent. I wish all of their french fries had a thicker cut, the regular fries are kind of like shoestring versus the sweet potatoes are thick. This had a far better texture. Steaks were cooked to perfection and well seasoned - this was entirely different compared to our last experience at the Lucille's in Dix 30.
The servers took time to refill our water and clean the tables in between meals, change our cultery too. I could tell there was a particular attention to us. I think it makes a huge difference when you are basically the only table in the restaurant at that time.
This a great place to enjoy quality food if you like seafood or steak in particular - the atmosphere is modern, there's lots of place to sit both indoor or outdoors and the service was top notch. I would come back for a special occasion, I felt very satisfied with the...
Read moreThis was my first time at Lucille's. I was invited to join a group of friends who were in town for the first time in a while. The place is big, and thankfully they gave us a table in the back where we could do and say whatever we wanted. Props to Gabbie (Gabby?) for being our waitress and tolerating us group of guys. We broke a glass about 10 seconds into our seating, which set the tone for the kind of dinner we were going to have.
The food was decent, however pricy for what you get in my opinion. Don't order the calamari, the Costco bagged one is better and 1/10th the price. We tried the oysters as well. As someone like myself who's the farthest thing from a connoisseur, I proceeded to use a slew of words I'm unfamiliar with, prior to slurping this oyster in an attempt to demonstrate that I'm somewhat cultured. After all, unlike most West Islanders, I have in fact travelled further east than Saint Laurent boulevard. I was partially intoxicated by this time and do not remember what it tasted like, but I believed it to be fresh as I felt it trying to climb out of my esophagus for the following six minutes or so.
Overall, it was a decent night with friends and the place does actually look cool. I'm also under the impression I used a gender neutral bathroom, which marks the first time I ever used one, so I can now identify as "progressive". Either that, or I walked into the women's bathroom and didn't notice. We choose to believe what we want.
I made sure to give the waitress Gabbie a little bit more tip than the standard 20% as she was tolerable to our "conduct". I'm also under the impression that the guy next to me is either cheap, or can't count and likely provided insufficient funds for tip, so hopefully that made up for it a bit. Who knows!
4/5. More of a 3.5/5 because of the cost:quality ratio of the food, but whatever. Forgot to mention, but the...
