Awful, bad. Drive thru people regularly get my order completely wrong (like way way off, a beef craveable for an iced capp????) and completely ignored us for five minutes despite saying “hello” multiple times. If you don’t have enough staff to service both sides of the drive thru, hire some local kids like the McDonalds.
EDIT: made the mistake of coming back here. I ordered an iced capp in the drive thru and accidentally asked for the wrong syrup. I immediately asked to revise the order but was told the Iced Capp had already been made and that I was going to have to pay for it… I’m not going to pay for something I won’t drink especially when I fixed the mistake immediately??? After some push back, they did change my order, but as someone who has worked as a drive thru attendant for a major fast food chain, I have never once told a customer that it was too late to change their order nor would I try to push them to purchase something they won’t consume. Changing orders is common in fast food and trying to get ahead by making orders as they come is not always best practice. In the same vein, I ordered a chocolate glazed and was informed they don’t sell those but that they had chocolate dipped and double chocolate on hand, to which I said “great, i’ll take a double chocolate.” Not even five seconds after informing me that they had double chocolate, all the sudden it was no longer available?? These are small things but they add up and every visit to this Tim Hortons feels like the staff are rude, demeaning, and combative. Unfortunately, it is the only Tim Hortons in Ponoka, but nonetheless, after repeated bad experiences I think it is finally time to call it quits. Read moreWorst customer service! First off they don’t listen to you when you’re ordering so you have to repeat yourself 3-5 times…or they can barely speak/understand English. Half the time they make you sit at the order screen till they have everything ready and then have you come to the window as they are more concerned about their drive thru times than delivering a good experience and product. Once you get to the window there is no greeting just the payment machine thrown in your face. Then they practically throw the food or drinks at you with no goodbye, have a good day, nothing…if anything takes time like putting your wallet away or counting change if paying cash they instantly get annoyed and will sometimes throw a rude remark your way!
Food has become absolute garbage and no one takes pride in their work anymore…like honestly it’s not that hard to spread cream cheese across the entire bagel or actually put the scrambled eggs in a scrambled egg sausage wrap! You can order a coffee the same way 7 days a week and it will taste different each day or just be completely undrinkable.
The inside of the store is always grungy looking and would kill anyone to go pickup trash in the parking lot!?!?
And finally the worst part….they have been called out on their BS multiple times…promise to make things better but nothing changes…if anything it only seems to get worse! I’m on board with the Tim Hortons Boycott! It just not the same Timmie’s as we grew up living in Canada…I think I’ll take my business to Starbucks now as they are still committed to providing excellent service...
Read moreOK so they smartened up for a bit, but now don't gaf about your order or what you want, i ordered a double stack english muffin, bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on an english muffin, I get 2 sausage patties on an English muffin, went in to get it corrected and got a snooty stuck up response because I wanted bacon on it, I ended up getting the 2 sausage patties again... hey dummy, sausage patties that timmies uses is a pork product also. If it's that much of an issue then work elsewhere
Edit; I'm starting with this, I'm a veteran of the military, and this tims by far has the worst service I've ever recieved, the employees speak broken English, if you're at the drive through don't expect to be quick, they're usually back up past the local coop gas station , and when you go in, there's just as many people, and the employees aren't doing their job and standing TF around, you can order whatever coffee you want and they will just give you a double double because they don't know how to use their equipment properly. I will be bringing this to town counsel, enough is enough
I love my Tim's coffee, been to many across Canada, the one in Ponoka frustrates the crap outta me, and "stall" at the drive through to keep order times down... But the customer waits longer to meet quotas. The drive through is always backed up, and inside is backed up or they have no employee on a till to take an order. If there were another timmies in Ponoka I would likely use that one over this location... But this is all there is, Micky D's coffee...
