All Mex'd Up Taco Shop — Restaurant in Port Alberni

I just waited with my 2 toddler children over 25min for 2 tacos and one kids cheese quesadilla. Not impressed with wait times. Also on their menu it says * ask about making other dishes kid friendly* the only choice they gave me was burritos. Really! So why do they tell you to ask for other dishes if its only burritos? The kids quesadilla is small too.( id say its for 3 and under) The taco was a regular mexican sized taco which I expected, and I really cant complain about the taste or freshness it was prepared well. Funky lil' place down at the Harbour in Port Alberni. Consistantly delicious and flavorful food, friendly service ( even when the owner is not there the food is still fabulous and the service is still 100% and professional. ), unique and colorful decor and just a fun over all atmosphere.

This is our go to date night spot as we have LOVED everything Matt and his staff has put out. It's always hot n fresh even when they're busy. Best mexi in town! This gem of a bistro is tucked away down in the Harbour Quay of Port Alberni. The locals told us about the taco shop and said MUST do , thus we did and I am so happy that we listened to them.

I had a fish taco and a pork taco as I wanted to experience both. The tortilla was soft and warm, filled with generous portions of meat and ample fresh ingredients. The sauces added a perfect compliment to the dish and I enjoyed every single bite.

The only disappointment for me was that it wasn't Thursday and the night they do once a week to serve the Baja Shrimp tacos. Looks like I will be going back on my next visit and make sure it is...
