The first time we tried The Lock, we ordered their Bianco Prosciutto and Roman Pepperoni and we were not disappointed. If anything, we got even more excited to try other flavours. The second time we went, we decided to dine-in to experience their hospitality. Again, they didn't disappoint. Like the first time, their staff showed genuine interest by coming by our table to check if everything came out to our satisfaction. I personally appreciated the approach as I consider it not overly accommodating hence my describing it as "genuine". This time we had the Breakfast Pizza and again, Roman Pepperoni. Based on this, you could tell that Roman Pepperoni became a favourite right away! We've never had a pizza like it. It's got sesame on the crust that makes the experience and taste out of this world. Overall, the pizzas we've tried were equally delicious. Their flavour profile is on point as they don't overload the pizza. The ingredients are tasted in every bite complimenting each other, not one in my opinion is overpowering. The dough is thin and chewy with the right amount of crunch, not burnt or soggy. The Lock has quickly become our fave spot for pizza. We plan on trying ALL of them as we go thru their menu one visit at a time. We've even introduced it to our folks. This time, we had Spicy Diavolo, which was a treat with it's right amount of "kick" 🌶️ the Bianco Prosciutto was a hit too - can't go wrong w classic prosciutto and cheese, can you?! Truly, any pizza from their menu is an absolute gem as the real prized possession here is their dough, sauce, and the delicate placing of ingredients to make sure that every bite delivers an explosion of flavours. Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere -- good people, good food. After trying 3 other local pizzerias, The Lock, by far, serves THE BEST pizza in...

Lock Wood Fired Pizza isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary therapy session disguised as a pizza shop. I'm legally obligated to tell you that the staff and management here are so fantastic, they probably deserve their own motivational speaker tour.
The pizza itself is phenomenal. I'm pretty sure the crust is what ancient poets wrote about—it has that perfect, beautiful char and chew that screams, "I was kissed by a wood fire and now I'm giving you an existential crisis." The ingredients are so fresh, I'm convinced the tomatoes were apologizing to the basil for being picked. Seriously, this isn't food; it's an edible life upgrade.
But let's talk about the true heroes: the staff and management. They are not just friendly; they operate on a level of intuitive customer service that borders on telepathy. I swear I thought, "I could use a napkin," and a napkin appeared. They handle the rush with the grace of a synchronized swim team and a constant smile that makes you wonder if they're actually models who moonlight as pizza experts. They are absolutely great to deal with—highly accommodating, efficient, and they deserve a medal (made of cheese, obviously) for their dedication.
If you are looking for authentic, wood-fired deliciousness and want to witness a business run so well it makes you question your own life choices, stop what you're doing and go to Lock Wood Fired Pizza. It's a five-star experience where the only risk is that you might never want to eat any other...
Read moreIf you're looking for a delicious pizza in Port Colborne, then The Lock Wood Fired Pizza is definitely worth checking out. Their pizzas are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, resulting in a crispy, thin crust with just the right amount of chewiness.
However, if you're a fan of calzones, you might want to proceed with caution. While the pizza is definitely the star of the show at The Lock Wood Fired Pizza, the calzone could use a bit of improvement. Our experience was that the calzone was dry and lacked the necessary amount of sauce to really bring out the flavors. This might be a disappointment for calzone lovers who are used to a saucy, cheesy filling.
The Cheesy Garlic Strips are also quite good. They are essentially another pizza cut into strips, and are more than enough for a group of 4.
Overall, The Lock Wood Fired Pizza is a great option for pizza lovers looking for a crispy crust and quality toppings. If you're a fan of calzones, you might want to try something else on the menu, or perhaps request extra sauce on your calzone to ensure a...
