I have a love hate relationship with this place. They make a decent donair but the older ladies that work there, one in particular, is about the rudest and most unprofessional you’ll ever meet, and unfortunately she’s got the other staff drinking the same koolaid. Quarter to use interact has recently been done away with, which is a good thing. Be advised, that when she squawks, Cheese Ok?”, that means you’re getting charged extra for the cheese. Not uncommon for her to be smacking on a big plug of chewing gum while she’s preparing your food, and you’ll probably have to repeat your order about 4 times before you get to pay... if you are particular and have omissions and additions, it make take 8 repeats. The store is disgustingly dirty, with the centrepiece being a fan just where you order, caked with a half inch of dust and grease. Donair breads occasionally rip, and can’t be used for donairs. These will be set aside where they get dry and disgusting, only to be pawned off in the next unsuspecting customer that orders a rice platter. Wish I’d never return as I leave angry everytime, but unfortunately, I keep finding...
Read moreI always enjoyed ordering food here and it tastes great. But today I asked for beef carribean donair (I know I wanted beef because I don’t like chicken donair) and added a bottle of juice. Was charged a bit over $16. Went home had a bite and it was chicken. I called and asked to confirm the price and it was supposed to be $13 so I told them I ordered beef but got chicken and was charged more and the lady on the phone said she remembers me because she made it for me and said that I asked her for super size carribean chicken donair. I never said super and I never said chicken and she kept on saying that I did. Then she started laughing and told me to come back and she’ll give me $2 back. I wasn’t upset of being charged more or getting chicken instead of beef because mistakes happen, but the attitude of the staff arguing that she heard me say something I didn’t and the fact that she was laughing and telling me to come back for $2 was...
Read moreOnly person walking into the place, no greeting no hello. When I asked for a falafel rice platter price, after not finding it posted after a quick glance, she just rudely told me to look over to the side to some papers, which were even more confusing.
I gave up and just asked to make me a falafel rice platter (no idea what it included and was never told). Anyways, she starts to microwave three falafels for me and only after being chastized by an older lady including the fourth one.
Two small spoons of tabouleh salad turned out to be an extra which was not mentioned anywhere.
Final charge was more than expected at par or above meat rice platters, and was told to pick my package up from her end of counter. Is this what hospitality industry has come down to. 👎
Came to home in 5 mins to barely warm falafels, cold rice and last bone dry pita in the pita packaging. So dry it was already cracking at its seams....
