I used to love this place! Things have changed, within a matter of a few weeks. The last thing I bought was was beef lo mien and it was not the way it used to be. The noodles are much thicker now, and I only get 3 small plates now, whereas I used to get 6. Maybe that is why the thick noodles. The first picture is what beef lo mien and Singapore rice noodle used to look like. The second and third picture is what it looks like now. Even the Singapore rice noodle looked as though spaghetti had been substituted instead of the rice noodle, though it is hard to tell the difference by the pictures. But it was not the same noodles. Even Cantonese chow mien is not what it used to be. There used to be small corn, bamboo shoots, water chestnut, bok choy, mushrooms, onions, celery, shrimp, pork and cat (I mean chicken). Many of those vegetables have been replaced by weird vegetables like carrots and cabbage. It seems like they are using the cheapest North American vegetables to replace the more expensive, traditional vegetable, yet the price keeps going up! I am thinking of giving up 'Chinese' food altogether. It's just not the same anymore!

This is my dad's favorite place to order from. We got the 4 person meal which was great. The cantonese chow mein noodles were unfortunately hard and crispy. Not enjoyable or edible. My dad who always eats there said they are never like that. We called the restaurant to let them know to get a store credit or whatever. Unfortunately they didn't believe us and wanted us to drive back and show them, no problem. Get there and the cook/owner was very argumentative and told us that's how the noodles are. Was an unfortunate customer experience. Understand things happen and we enjoyed everything else. The owner was also upset that part of the dish was missing....because we tried it and realized we couldn't eat it, it was 90% full. I received a reluctant $8 back. They lost a customer who's been going there for years. Was an unfortunate experience. The girls at the front were amazing.

Awful! No flavour and not good! Chow mein was watery and not tasty. Chicken fried rice was disappointing and had no flavour. Chicken balls were so small. Asked for no mushrooms because of an allergy and two if the dishes came with full mushrooms. Black pepper beef is soggy and tasteless. Fried dumplings were more like a samosa and not a traditional dumpling. Very disappointing and threw out all the food and ordered elsewhere! All sauces are watery and dont have flavours. Lemon chicken especially. Do not order here.

We were so disappointed tonight when we received our order. We ordered the Dinner for 5 as it's listed on the restaurant's website. We were supposed to get Sweet & Sour Shrimp, but instead we were given Chicken Balls. We were supposed to get Chicken Wings, but instead we were given Chop Suey. It's understandable that the prices on the website would be subject to change without notice, and I was told while placing my order what the total would be for my order ($70+HST instead of $55.95+HST) so I don't have a complaint about that, but I am disappointed that our food was downgraded AND the price was much more than the food was worth.

We called the restaurant to let them know that we didn't get what we ordered, and we were told that the menu has changed, and therefore the Dinner for 5 is now a completely different meal than what's listed on the website. We asked if we could have the items that we didn't order replaced with what we did order, and we were told that that isn't possible.

On top of this, the chicken fried rice tastes like plain white rice with some plain unseasoned chicken, carrots, and peas. The chicken in the Chicken Lo Mein also tastes unseasoned. It's like nothing I've ever eaten from a Chinese food restaurant before. We were so sad.

I really don't like to leave a negative review, but this experience was disappointing in so many ways. We just moved to Port Hope a year ago and I was really hoping we would have a good Chinese food restaurant in town. I sure hope that...

This is normally our go to for Chinese food, knowing they would be busy on Christmas Eve we preordered our food in advance. I was told when ordering that there may be a slight delay when we arrived. We arrived promptly for our 5:30 pick up time to be told that they didn’t know when our order would be ready as they had taken too many orders. Countless people were waiting on their food, some had been there for a while already. After an hour passed I asked if they had an idea of when the food would be ready and was told that they forgot to pull down the 5:30 orders so I was looking at another 60-90 minutes. 2.5 hours for Chinese food that was ordered well in advance is ridiculous. All those people waiting, a vast majority for pre ordered times while they instead filled orders for Uber and Skip as well as orders that had been placed just an hour before. Why take pre orders if you can’t fulfill them? Why take orders at 4pm when you knew you were backlogged with preorders? I ended up asking for a refund, which oddly had to be approved by the owner instead of just granting it when I had already waited an hour. I left with no food and not many other options as everything else had closed early for Christmas Eve. I’m not sure I’ll order from here again for...
