I've gone to this place about 20 times for cold treats. About 15 of them have been warm and runny. Either the equipment is broken, or they don't know how to operate it.
On most visits, the staff don't seem to care about customer service. They're not rude, but not friendly or cordial either. Seems like they just want to finish their shift and leave as soon as possible. I always have to double check my orders because there are frequent mix-ups.
On my last visit I went for a quick burger. The girl just stood there for a good 20 seconds chatting with her friends in the back while I stood at the counter. I had to interrupt them and ask her if I could order something.
After I ordered, I see them grab some burger and throw it in the microwave then toss it in a bag for me. It wasn't busy or anything. There was only one other person in the entire store and they were already eating at a table. If I would have known that's how they were going to prepare my meal I wouldn't have bothered walking through the door. The bun was all hot and soggy. I debated whether or not to even eat it.
I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from because almost every experience I've had has been negative. Other people I've talked to that have gone here have said the same thing. Read moreOh man..ordered food thru skip with some desserts and drinks. Got one drink delivered on a tray with a fork and a napkin. And the drink was even incorrect. Contacted skip and reordered. Paid the 2nd delivery fee, 2nd tip, 2nd service charge etc. Yeah they missed food again. It had now been over an hour since I initially ordered so I drove down to go get it. They couldnt give me my missing food so I paid for the food a 3rd time. This is after sitting in a drive thru for 30 minutes no exaggeration. And I couldn't reverse out as I was blocked in by a pile of cars. I know its not their fault it was busy but the length each order took was absolutely ridiculous. Having worked in restaurants im actually way too forgiving when it comes to these things and even I'm saying it was out of hand. Like 33 minutes to get out of drive thru and i was the 5th car. The worst part is the chicken was old and cold and dried up and lo and behold, they reused one of the missing pieces from my order that was so long ago. Read moreI cannot understand why most Dairy Queens in the Vancouver area are very short-staffed. Always there are only two possibly three people on staff. This number of people can never keep up with the demand of having a drive-through and walk up customers. This location in particular is bad because it's busy and the staff are poorly trained. When the manager is there they don't even have the ability to go and get coupons when someone wants to buy them. Interestingly, if you go to a Dairy Queen in the Interior such as Grand Forks, the Dairy Queen there is fantastic! It's staffed with plenty of people who are completely dedicated to service and the owner is there most of the time. I feel for the staff at these City locations because it must be stressful for them.
