Mama Said Pizza Co. — Restaurant in Port Moody

We have been here numerous amounts of time and I never took the time to write these business owners a Google Review. Our most recent experience was a couple days ago when a friend treated me for my birthday and we ordered a seasonal flavour--Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza and The Original Mama's Pizza with the hot honey sauce and sesame seed crust. We also got some chicken wings to start off with.

First off, let's talk about service-- our server was Lolo. Absolutely wonderful. She kept a close eye on our table, served us on time, updated us if things were going to be late. She had an infectiously amazing personality which made us feel more like we were dining in home vs. out in a restaurant. So thank you Lolo for making us feel that way.

Now, food! every time we have been here, they have delivered on the flavours for the pizza. Their flavours are always a bit different than your usual pizzeria and that is what people love about them. They are not frugal with their ingredients--both the quality and quantity of their ingredients on their pizza's are always in balance. This is why we keep going back.

Additionally, my partner has an allergy to honey. In the past, they have remembered and brought the honey on the side for us. They always make an effort to switch out other ingredients if there are sensitivities. These guys run a really great business and we are always...

We heard such great things about Mama said; even saw how full the restaurant was, so we knew we had to try it. Called in and ordered 2 pizzas at 545 and was told it would be ready at 635. Arrived at 635 paid and was told it would be another 15- 20 minutes as they had a large order come in. Unacceptable! So I walked back in 20 minutes later for them to tell me they added fennel to the 2nd pizza and would have to remake it. At this time, it had been over 1 hour since we placed the order, and frankly, I was directed with this entire scenario. So I was fed up and asked for a refund for all of it. They had trouble refunding, and after a few attempts, I had to call the manager . Nothing got solved, so just to get me out of there, she gave Mr cash back and 1 of 1 pizzas we ordered. Now, this had been sitting on the bar while all this was going on. So I drove the 5 minutes home .and it was barely warm. The taste was okay, a bit too thin of crust to hold the toppings. Plus, the toppings were literally dropped in 1 line across the pizza, so not on every slice. Will not recommend it and will not go back. Their box even says HOT and FRESH, and it definitely wasn't. Plus, their customer service needs work. Not worth the original price of 48 for 2...

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for months and wanted to give it a few visits before I could give a proper review! I’ve been a fan of their food truck for a while and this place does not disappoint!

On to the pizza - good stuff! Like really, really good pizza! If it’s your first time, try the Mama or the Brooklyn. Don’t skimp out and get some hot honey sauce for the crusts! If you don’t feel like a full pizza, grab it by the slice for $5 each. Not a huge choice for appies but the meatballs are amazing! They’re saucy, cheesy, and have little bit of a kick to them. The drink menu is pretty extensive as well but can’t go wrong with a good old locally brewed lager!

The staff are super friendly, especially if you sit at the bar. Big shout out to Eiman (I probably spelled this wrong lol), Brandon, and Paige for great service and company!

There’s also tvs everywhere and it’s a good place to watch sports games. I live in the building above so my review might be a bit bias but all in all it’s my new fav hangout place and I’m sure it would be yours too if you give it a shot! Oh and bonus points for being kid...
