Nice trail, terrible people. Those wooden bridges were pretty narrow, and I was almost knocked over (more than once) because some people just had to walk side by side and refused to acknowledge that I as a human being needed some space. These people would rather bump into you or seriously squeeze your personal space than lose their precious opportunity to be beside each other. Seriously people, just form a single line on the right hand side and it would be easier for everyone, and I promise whoever was beside you wouldn’t just vanish into thin air. To be honest, I would rather walk around Deer Lake or Burnaby Lake where people are much more respectful, and where trails are wider. It’s interesting to see the tide rush in though (check the tide schedule), and the birds, so I would give five stars to the...

Shoreline Trail is one of those rare urban walks that feels like a nature escape. The path hugs the water, weaving through forested sections, marshland, and open views of the inlet. It’s flat, well-maintained, and perfect for walking, jogging, or casual biking. Benches and viewpoints are spaced out nicely, and you’ll often spot herons or seals if you’re lucky. The eastern section near Rocky Point Park gets busy, especially on weekends, but the western stretch toward Old Orchard is quieter. Downsides? Limited shade in some parts and occasional flooding after heavy rain. Also, cyclists and walkers share the path, so it can get tight. Still, it’s a peaceful, scenic route that’s...

The Shorline Trail is great little hike for people of all ages. From low to high tide the walk is a favourite for everyone. I typically park at Rocky Point and hike across the bay to Old Orchard Park. Try to walk out to the Old Mill Site Park if the tide is out and explore. After the return hike enjoy Pajo’s Fish and Chips or Rocky Point Ice Cream. If so inclined enjoy a beer at one of the four Craft Breweries along Murray Street. My personal favourite is The Parkside Brewery. Great to bring the dog along and most of the...

We came from Vancouver with our bikes after planning to ride on the paved bike portion of the trail (via City of Port Moody) web site. Overlooked the bit about the dedicated cyclist path being closed from July to December. The detours are confusing and definitely not scenic - along busy IOCO Road then thorough nowhere land suburbia. The gravel and boardwalk path that actually follows the inlet is closed to cyclists and open to walkers. If you are coming here for a short scenic bike ride try next year.
