Magel's Cafe — Restaurant in Prince George

Ordered the warm Roasted Milk Tea with bubbles. The taste of the tea was good, however the bubbles were way too soft, mushy and they are coming apart. No chewiness at all. Definitely not anywhere near to what regular bubbles in a cup of bubble tea should have been. UPDATE: A staff saw my review and immediately made a cold version of the bubble tea which I had ordered and gave it to me before I left the store. He explained that the bubbles may be mushy because I had ordered the warm tea, thus, he gave me another cup of cold tea with bubbles free of charge for me to try. Unfortunately, the bubbles in that cold cup of tea were still too mushy for me. They weren't as mushy as the bubbles in the warm cup, but they were still not chewy at all. Magel's has been sold to a new owner and it's amazing! I drink a lot of bubble tea so I go all around town. The other places are good but their pearls aren't always consistent, often overcooked or undercooked. This was a problem before the change in management here but since then they have been perfect! Always consistently soft all the way through.

Their selection variety is about the same as before, which is to say extensive. The atmosphere is so chill! I often sit in and enjoy my drink there just to have a break in my day.

Personally a huge highlight is the arcade and claw machines! New and clean arcade machines for a day for only 5.00 is great! And the claw machines feel fair, not just there to eat up coins and never...

Stopped by today for the first time in many years… I have been missing out clearly!!! The service was friendly and many recommendations were made. I had a taro slush with pearls and it was delicious! Also tried the chicken and waffles with the Nashville style chicken - INCREDIBLE!! Spicy and flavourful. Great pickles on it. We were also informed they make their own sauce and it was so good. My friend had the chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream and a frappe and she liked both. My only suggestion for atmosphere was the open sign was off and it was pretty dim so they looked closed and it isn’t super stroller friendly. But overall this is a place you don’t want to skip!!
