If I could give no stars, I would. We ordered a large stuffed crust chicken pizza and a brownie a couple weeks ago. Cost us $40. When we took the first bite, the pizza tasted rancid. My husband didn’t want to continue eating, which is the biggest clue as to how gross it was because he can eat pretty much any pizza and is not fussy at all. We went to return the order, and we hadn’t even eaten a full slice. The employee couldn’t refund the order unless the manager was present. When they tried to get a hold of the manager, the manager was not reachable. We still didn’t make a big deal out of it thinking we will just dispute the charges via AMEX. However, they had the gall to reject the refund request AMEX made on our behalf. They told AMEX that we took the order, even though we returned the order back to the restaurant. You can even see their counter under the pizza box in the picture I posted. It’s $40 and not worth this much hassle, however I find it disgusting for them to treat customers this way. Not to mention, I got a call from Papa Johns at 10pm last night, not sure what they wanted to say as they didn’t leave a voicemail but I’m not going to pickup a late night phone call when everyone in the house, including my 2 month old, is sleeping. Anyway this review is to let everyone know that there are plenty other pizza places in town and customers don’t have to take this crappy service from them. Based on our experience so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if the manager hopped online to argue this review, instead of taking...
Read moreOur first, and last, time ever ordering from here. Papa John's is no better than Domino's or Little Caesar's. You probably couldn't tell the three apart in a blind taste test.
Greasy, the bottom of the boxes saturated with it.
I requested a specific pickup time but was 15 minutes early. Decided to go in and at least pay. My order was already sitting there! What's the point of choosing a time?? Add a 15-20 minute drive home, everything was cold.
No option for special instructions when ordering online. I didn't want the dip that came with the bread sticks. Then there was disgusting garlic sauce with each pizza! I wouldn't have wanted those either.
The 6 cheese pizza looked and tasted like an ordinary cheese pizza. VERY disappointing.
The ONLY upside was the 25% off for ordering online. We'd be even more unimpressed had we paid the full price of $60. Find a better pizza joint unless you like...
Read moreYour standard chain pizza restaurant. The pizzas, in my opinion, are thin on toppings, and some of the pizzas were disappointing when tried. They did have some specials from time to time, which is what motivated me to order here. Some people my like things like pickles, potatoes, perogies, etc, on a pizza or have cheese sauce rather than cheese on a pizza, but I think this is an industry-wide attempt to cut corners and offer cheaper lower quality toppings to cut cost. Sad to see... I still order out for convenience but find myself buying frozen pizzas for a few bucks, then raiding fridge and adding toppings to my hearts content, or making homemade pizza as I see the prices spiral...
