Allô mon Coco — Restaurant in Quebec

Worst experience for breakfast. Started with waiting at the door for 15 mins when the restaurant was barely at half capacity. The hostess wasn’t acknowledging us and was instead cleaning up dirty dishes & glasses that shouldn’t even be at the front of the restaurant in the first place. Once seated, took a bit of time to order and receive coffee (never got water either, unaware we had to ask). An hour later, we were still waiting for the food to show up while tables who arrived significantly after us were not only served before us but were almost finished their plates. We got our food, both ordered the classic plates with 2 eggs & a crepe. 1) eggs were cold and completely uncooked 2) only one bread showed up for both of us 3) no peanut butter/jam or syrup given… no one ever acknowledging us… unable to eat our eggs, we asked for new ones, they weren’t much better. We finished our crepes which were thick & cold, not very good. Fruit quality used also subpar. An hour and a half later I was finally able to pay the bill and leave. Absolutely disgusting. The service was terrible. The coffee top up was lukewarm. Poached eggs, which I asked to be more well done, was soft with raw whites. One toast had some butter, but not spread. The other dry. My son asked for plain pancakes. The smallest three pancakes I've ever had in my 65 yeaes of life. They did not bring any butter or syrup to the table. When I asked, the waiter was rude, asking where I came from (as if I were completely unreasonable and was asking for something extraordinary), and informed me that butter and syrup were extra. My son's plate was broken at the edge. My home fries were soggy, looked like they were reheated in microwave. The slice of pineapple looked dirty, and had a rot spot. I cannot believe this place got good reviews! Was it because we were anglophones? The whole thing turned me off. Maybe if I had identified myself as a reviewer and H&T critic, I might have been better served. No. This was absolutely not good at all. The food was delicious as always. However, we did not get a good service this time. The waitress was distracted, we requested an extra chair several times, and finally we had to go talk to the people in another table and spare from them, while my friend was standing waiting. Some of our friends just arrived in Québec, so we had to help them with the menu and to order. Again, we did not feel any compassion from the waitress. After just a few minutes of enjoying the food, he seemed to get rid of us to make room for the next group. We brought a big group of 16 people, a lot of money for the restaurant and a very good tip collected. We would not expect this poor service.
