This afternoon, three of us arrived at the restaurant around 2:30 PM. We ordered a starter, two main courses, and a kids’ meal. The food itself was decent, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues.
Firstly, the service was disappointingly slow, causing some frustration as we waited longer than expected between courses. Adding to our discomfort, there were an excessive number of flies buzzing around our table throughout the meal. At one point, we had to pause eating just to shoo them away.
The bread served with our meal was not warmed, which was a letdown. Additionally, when our starter arrived, no plate were provided for sharing, we didn’t bother to ask for one.
One of our forks was noticeably crooked, which was both odd and inconvenient. Moreover, the waiter forgot to bring our child’s juice, and due to the persistent issue with flies, we ended up having to take it to go.
Overall, while the food had potential, the slow service, fly problem, and various oversights detracted significantly from our...
Read moreThe Cochon Dingue gets full marks. The food was excellent. I had the deep fried chicken in crispy batter. My colleague had the fish and chips. Both were very tasty.
My only surprise is that the chicken, 2 breast halves - a healthy sized portion, is not deboned so I had to do a bit of cleaning up (however not an issue). The gravy that was served on the side, was fantastic, a great dipping sauce for both the chicken and the accompanying fries.
Service was impeccable: friendly, prompt and helpful. About 9 hours later I met up with the restaurant's staff in another eating establishment and they actually remembered me and asked how I enjoyed the chicken; whether it was spicy and flavourful enough. I even got to mention about not deboning the chicken and they said it's been mentioned before . 🙂
All in all a very pleasant experience with tasty food, excellent staff, a very comfortable ambiance with plenty of parking.

Read moreI was unsure of the place when my wife first suggested we eat here during our trip. I mean, I didn't even know the place. However, after eating here, I can say that this place is one of the highlights our trip. The staff are friendly and their prices are fair.
They have some of the best ribs I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Messy, to be sure, but still highly enjoyable. I also tried their Famous Pot en Pot; a seafood dish with shrimp, crab, salmon, and lobster. I thought they were exaggerating about the famous part. I was wrong. If you like seafood, I strongly recommend this dish.
Given the chance, I would eat here again in a...
