My girlfriend and I were veeery hyped to go here, because weâre both huge crepe fans. I can thankfully say it didnât let us down. Though the first day we tried to visit, the line was so long that we chose to go the next morning. Itâs a very popular location it seems!
We had a super nice waitress seat and serve us, which made the experience even better. The food arrived VERY fast (my soup came in ~5 mins), and wasnât as pricey as some of the other restaurants on the same street. Back to the soup though - oh MAN. That was like, the best onion soup ever. Seriously. I wouldâve bought two bowls of it if I had known it would be so good. I also ordered a small, sweet pear crepe and it was also delicious! But the soup was heavenly.
My girlfriend got a savoury buckwheat shrimp crepe, which she said was lovely though a bit lacking in âglueâ; the crepe fell apart very easily as it did not contain cheese/any sort of âgoopâ. Still, she said it tasted delicious. She also got their house lemonade - which I sipped - and it was GREAT. Itâs filled with pieces of fruit. Honestly, I liked it more than my fancy chocolate coffee!
Finally, the restaurant has a 20% off dinner entrees discount if youâre a HI Canada member. I showed them my card and the website, and we got our discount. So if youâre staying at a HI hostel (like the one down the street), I definitely recommend coming here! Though even without the discount, Iâd still come back. The food was fantastic and...

My mom and I arrived at the restaurant and were seated in the very corner by the kitchen door despite there being many empty tables in the middle (as you can see in the picture). We did not get any water nor did the waitress come to take my order until 15 minutes after we were seated, whereas others were given water as soon as they were seated. We were just staring at the ceiling for 15 minutes. It took us another 30 minutes to receive our food. People who arrived after us had their order taken before us & received their food before us. Waiting 45 minutes for your food is not a pleasant experience no matter where youâre eating. You donât even wait that long at Michelin star restaurants!!
There were still some positives: the vegetables in the salads are fresh and delicious. I like that you can see your crĂȘpe being made in the open kitchen (see picture). Again, it took me 15 minutes to get a pot of coffee, but at least it was hot. The onion soup and spinach crĂȘpe was ok.
Will I return here after todayâs visit? Nope. Would I recommend this restaurant to others? Maybe, if youâre willing to wait almost an hour for your food. Be ready to be set in the corner where no one...
Read moreStopped here on a breakfast whim because crepes seemed like a good idea for two small children. We were attended to (and luckily seated) immediately by one of their gracious staff members and then our orders taken promptly (with another staff member who kindly put up with our rough attempts at ordering in french). The food arrived relatively quickly despite the place being packed and was delicious. Each item simple but perfectly done and so tasty that even a fussy 3 year old ate some of everything from the classic breakfast. Portions were generous but not overwhelming and coffee was great! The long line outside when we left was appropriate for the quality of food as well as the outstanding service we received. The atmosphere was also very comfortable with interesting decor and a neat open kitchen area to view crepes being made (more fun for small children). This was a gem of the city and we would love to return given the opportunity and recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast...
