Chez Victor — Restaurant in Quebec

My son was super jealous when I sent him this picture, he’s at camp and he loves poutine.

We searched for a highly rated restaurant that had unique poutine and was close to where we were staying. Chez Victor met all our criteria.

As an English speaking person (I speak a little and I’m still learning), I found the waitress to be very helpful and she did her best to communicate with me.

I ordered the smoked meat poutine. OMG. Yummy. So delicious, lots of smoked meat, mustard crispy breaded pickles, cheese and BBQ gravy. Very tasty.

My tip? I would order the original gravy next time.

What an amazing surprise! Just to start, the staff is super friendly, the restaurant is cozy with a unique charm, and the food was amazing, we didn't know what to order and we asked for suggestions, so we got le porc au bleu, le bourgeois et la bête, what incredible choices, it was a implosion of flavours in our mouths, plus the poutine with bbq sauce was really good. My favourite was le porc au bleu because of the contrast of flavours between the blue cheese and the apple confit. Finally, if you order the fries try the mayo with garlic and curry, it's something very tasty...

Went to two separate locations and found both to be fantastic. The burgers were excellent. My wife tried the vegetarian patty while I had beef and both were well-made. Their signature mayonnaise is a nice unique touch too. They charged us extra for switching fries to salad without really telling us in advance; found this a little odd. Otherwise, no complaints. Will certainly revisit if I am looking for a burger in Quebec City again. This particular locations also has...
