I normally go to the Cosmos on Laurier but we were in the neighborhood and decided to go to this location.
The food my friends ordered was great, but I normally order the Bol Atlantique. At this location my meal was completely different to the one I am used to on Laurier. I will admit that I did not read the menu as I had assumed that I would be receiving the same thing, but these two meals were not the same. Also, the Cosmos website only has the one menu.
I also understand it is the end of October but my strawberries were soft and mushy. They looked very old and that they may have been hanging out next to some moldy brothers. My orange was as dry as a desert and the cantaloupe was very hard and not fun to bite into. The capers were also not cooked which was super sad because that's my favourite part honestly.
It also came covered in cashews and peppers even though it doesnt say that there will be cashews and peppers anyway on the menu which could be alarming for someone with allergies. I'm just someone who doesnt love peppers so that was also majorly disappointing.
Anyway, the servers were nice and the service was relatively quick. We came in when it was packed to the door crazy and we still got a table for 4 in 15...
Read moreWe had a truly wonderful experience at Cosmos Lebourgneuf in Quebec City during our lunchtime visit. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant—ideal for a relaxed midday meal with friends. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional service provided by our server, Claudie. She is a talented, gracious, and poised young woman whose warmth made our entire lunch memorable.
What stood out especially was Claudie’s perfect command of English, which made our out-of-province guests feel immediately at ease. Her service was flawless—attentive without being intrusive, and always delivered with genuine kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to encounter such a combination of charisma and competence in hospitality, and Claudie truly exemplifies it.
The food was delicious from start to finish. I ordered the beef tartare, and it was simply outstanding—well-seasoned, fresh, and beautifully plated. Everyone at our table was equally pleased with their meals. We’ll absolutely return, and when we do, it will be to enjoy another visit with Claudie’s...
Bonne chance...
