Erawan — Restaurant in Quebec

Recent visit to Quebec City stumbled across this restaurant. Staff friendly and restaurant was not busy although we arrived on holiday so that might be why. Interesting menu said it was Thai but some items looked Chinese rather than Thai. Ordered the pad siew- this was super sweet with thin noodles not flat rice noodles. Red curry was yummy Garlic beef was nice too. Presentation was beautiful. Their menu offers a soup appetizer main and dessert but we opted for a la cart which was a tiny bit cheaper. We asked for spicy and they accommodated. My main beef about this place? Was basically where’s the beef? All the items we ordered had minuscule pieces of meat and lots of vegetables. Cauliflower which was odd and broccoli and zuchinni - all which aren’t really used in Thai food. Overall food tasted fine. It’s pricey for what it’s worth but server was lovely and...

I've eaten at Erawan twice and the food was excellent on both occasions. They offer a wide selection of entrées so you should have no problem finding something you like. The atmosphere is nothing special although they always seem to attract a full crowd. I'd make reservations unless you're planning to eat early. As for prices, it's not cheap. By the time you add taxes and tip, a meal consisting of a small cup of soup, two small egg rolls, Pad Thai (generous portion), tea or coffee, and a very unimpressive dessert will cost about 35$. Expérience plutôt décevante, après avoir commandé, mes 3 amis et moi, et reçu notre entrée, au moins 2 heures se sont écoulées avant de recevoir l’information qu’il ne restait plus de tartare. J’ai donc commande un autre plat. La nourriture était quand même bonne, et on m’a également donné ce qui restait de tartare en excuse/bonus. Mais pour le plus décevant, j’avais oublié une casquette noir Under Armor. J’appel au restaurant quelques jours plus tard et on m’indique que la casquette était bien dans les objets perdus. Comme je ne passe vraiment pas souvent dans le coin, j’ai demandé qu’on puisse écrire mon nom dessus et de me dire j’ai jusqu’à quand pour aller retrouver mon objet perdu : on m’a répondu qu’il n’y avait pas de problème et pas de « temps limite ». Alors encore confiant, j’ai appelé quelques mois plus tard avant de me présenter, pour me faire dire qu’elle n’était plus là… En forçant la note, l’employé au bout du fil à pris mon numéro en note et allait demander à ces employés si quelqu’un avit pu récupérer la caquette. Je pourrais comprendre qu’un employé ait la garder pour lui, au lieu de la jeter, donc svp, me contacter si c’est le cas, ou me confirmer qu’elle a bel et bien été jeté (voir photo), le cas contraire, je pourrai supprimer mon...
